No, but I like the way you think!

Quoted from awarner:I was busy last night:
It was a little scary using a jigsaw to cut the hole bigger. I used a Dremel sanding tool to smooth it out. It worked good.
But you did it and it works. Is there anything you can do about that decal wrinkle around that bolt head?
Quoted from MustangPaul:But you did it and it works. Is there anything you can do about that decal wrinkle around that bolt head?
Funny, but that bothered me as well. There is a small nick I got when cutting the hole and it wasn't really a big deal but last night, the playfield glass fell and put another mark in the front decal. I have a spare so after I finish the coin door, I'm going to strip the front decal, fill in the shooter hole, and put on the new decal.
I have too much invested to not do it right.
Quoted from jsa:Does the 2.0 kit come with a speaker mounting plate or MDF board that sits between the cabinet and the new speaker? Also, does it reuse the speaker wiring harness or provide a new one?
Is the cabinet speaker a direct swap out for the original?
Quoted from jsa:...and a follow up to this question: What speakers are shipping with the new kits?
Hey folks, sorry to be a pest on this. Can someone give me some information on the cabinet speaker situation?
My 2.0 kit came with a speaker that used the original lugs. All of the wiring was replaced as it needs to route to the power amp (provided)
The first kits came with flipper fidelity. Not sure of later batches
Quoted from rubberducks:Speakers in batch 3 (CoinTaker) are those used by VPCabs (not sure of brand or model), on recommendation from them.
CoinTaker claim they're better quality, which is hopefully the case, and I'm sure they're also cheaper.
Thanks for the information. I'm hearing that there is no MDF adapter plate with the kit, which means either I make one or don't care. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Once the 50 batch 3 kits are delivered, how many Bride of Pinbot 2.0s with there be out there? How big were the earlier runs?
Quoted from mollyspub:First and second batch were 25. Hopefully we'll be seeing 1.17 soon!
Oooh - is there a confirmed software update in the works? Awesome!
Quoted from Rarehero:Oooh - is there a confirmed software update in the works? Awesome!
Sure is!...beta testing now. Biggest thing I like is the modes will now continue if interrupted by multiball!
Quoted from awarner:A couple of additions. Lit Start button and the coin door buttons are back.
Very nice. from your first picture I can see you need the show quality chrome leg bolts. sc93cobra has them for $3 each. I don't know if they are the longer ones but it looks like you could use the longer ones.
Does anyone know if I need the "Coin door open" switch for the game to work properly? I know it doesn't cut power to the coils like it does in later WPC games. Does it do anything in BOP 2.0? You can see the wires hanging down in my picture above. Should I just connect them together?
Quoted from awarner:A couple of additions. Lit Start button and the coin door buttons are back.
Did you drill the hole bigger for the lit start button or find one that fit the existing hole?
Quoted from nwpinball:Did you drill the hole bigger for the lit start button or find one that fit the existing hole?
Believe it or not, the standard lit Start button works great. I got it from PinballLife. Powered by the coin door lights.
Working on my 2.0 cabinet. Sanded cabinet down to wood. Primed and painted. Clear coated cabinet. Wet sanded cabinet. Applyed 2.0 decals. Did one light coat of clear and let it dry. Applyed 2 more coats of clear and wet sanded in between. Going to apply one more coat.

Wow! Looks AWESOME! Congrats on a what will be a beautiful game.

Wait... Correction... This is a Whitewater lower cabinet. I don't know if it'll work on a standard BOP cabinet. My Bad...
Woot! My kit is in the mail. Ordered in early May (with a two week anticipated wait) and 5+ months later, it will (hopefully) be here next week.
Quoted from tatman9999:Couple more
You ALWAYS do a super nice job on your pins tatman.

I ordered in May at Pinfest, Allentown. So I should be close as well per my previous post of 2-3 kits are shipping per week.
Quoted from Flake:I guess I need to call. I haven't heard squat about final payment and I put a down payment in Feb.
Yeah Flake, I would call Melissa at CT for sure because it seems like they are passed you per what they told me (only last 20 kits left to ship) and the fact that Lyonsden is shipped and reserved his in early May.
I wonder if the squeaky wheel is getting grease. I sent inquiry emails about once a month to get updates. All were answered with "we are shipping in two weeks."
I also sent a deposit late Feb. This is the latest I got. As of this moment, no invoice.

Can you get to the test menu with the coin door buttons? I think it's the last option in the test menu.
I think you need to set the BIOS to Windows 7 instead of Windows 8. Did you do that? You'll need a USB keyboard.
From the Dutch Pinball Board:
Batch 3 (Cointaker) Startup Fix
Postby travisbmartin » October 16th, 2016, 12:03 pm
Hello everyone.
I just got my BoP kit in this weekend from Cointaker and installed it within a couple of hours. However, I had trouble with the PC booting up. It would begin to load the Dutch Pinball logo, but then it would reboot over and over again. But I figured out how to fix it.
Please not that you may have to take the LCD screen off the speaker panel to see what you are doing.
Using the LCD screen and a USB keyboard, turn on the mini PC
Press Delete key until you boot into the PC's BIOS Screen.
Press the Right Arrow key to go to the Chipset Page.
There is a setting here to pick between Windows 7, and Windows 8.1. Mine was preset on Windows 8.1, and I switched it to Windows 7.
Exit BIOS, saving your new settings.
The PC should boot all the way and show you the Program Select screen.
Hope this is helpful for everyone.
Quoted from rubberducks:Is that actually a batch #2 kit, or one of the CoinTaker (#3) ones?
Cointaker
Quoted from wierdeer:Can get into test menu but can't figure out how to make it play origanal
Hold the Start Button. A selection screen will appear.
Never thought I'd see the day I was quoTed as tech help. I guess the Cubs are going to win after all
Honestly, once I started playing 2.0, I haven't even tried to go back and play the original. Anyone else feel the same?
Quoted from wierdeer:Followed instructions finished turned on and got this screen do I need a mouse to finish?
Note the error message: CPU FAN Fail
You may need to check if a fan header came unplugged from the board.
Quoted from nwpinball:Honestly, once I started playing 2.0, I haven't even tried to go back and play the original. Anyone else feel the same?
I mostly play 2.0 cuz it's new and exciting...but I've switched back to OG, cuz it's so different - it really is fun having 2 games in 1. I still like experiencing the music and sounds of the original every so often.
Seems to be working now... Get options of game on start up now. Haven't tried holding the start button yet.
Wow! So much fun. Got to the video mode and multiball. Hooked up the pinduino kit too... Gotta put the new playfield I got from Peter in still. Need me some new cab decals too. Is there still a free cab decal somewhere?
