Ok, I've been promising my kids that someday I'd get our Scared Stiff Boogiemen dancing. Now that my son is weeks away from going to college, the pressure to follow through on promises is getting heavy, so away I went.

Fortunately, I had some scrap 6061 material to get these guys moving, only had to spend 1 dollar for the 3mm button head bolts. The pieces are relieved on both the sides to clear the plastic feet as well as up the back to give maximum clearance. I machined out the lower section that fits around the crank arm so that it provides greater compression for the fixing bolts. Also turned out some custom washers to reconstruct my plastics while I had the pin apart, just couldn't stand seeing the gaping holes on the corners any more.

Enjoy the pics...

Anybody that has a metal lathe and knows how to use it is OK in my book. Great Job.

Thanks guys, the kids were mucho appreciative and I enjoyed the time working on them. Metal fab and paint are natural for me, but the darn pinball electronics are a lot longer learning curve

Great job! Always nice to have your Boogies Dancing!

You know it Ted...just could not justify having firm footed boogie men

Time to get moving on the next mod for this game, dressing up the backboard for a little pizazz!

Nice! Yeah, I sold my first machine and bought another one thinking the LED Skull Pile, Dancing Boogies, etc, were stock. Surprise!!

My SS says the same thing on occasion. Cool!
