*****edit.... I am not the original poster and I do not have this machine for sale. You should find pinsider kylemilnie or follow this link.. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/banzai-run-for-sale-pittsburghpa-again-4500

My initial reply is below****

Welcome to pinside ('kylemilne').

I strongly suggest taking the same angles & pictures with the glass off of the main playfield.

Good, clear pictures of the center part of the playfield, in the area of the pop bumpers including the middle of the three and right side of the right pop, as well as the left side kickback lane would help most of us in determining overall condition of the playfield.

It would also be helpful to have pictures of the left and right sides of the cabinet and head.

Finally, any comments about where and when you got it could be helpful. For instance if it came from a collector or a refurbisher, that could go a long ways for someone who cant see it in person (most of us). I suspect that the ultimate buyer would have it shipped out of PA so help them make the leap.

Wow, someone should buy it just for that unbroken plastic around that left pop bumper. I dont think I've ever seen an original one that wasn't broken. NICE !!
Wish I was closer, but yet Pittsburgh is only 5ish hours from here.......hmmm.

If this was up maybe 3 weeks sooner I would have been all over this.
I'm pretty sure they made less than 2750 of them. I think 1750.
Just cause the the bottom LCD is out doesn't mean they all need to be replaced, but it would look nicer with one of the new ones in lol
Also take pictures of the inside of the machine. Behind the 2 play fields and the circuit boards.
Good luck with this. I don't think anyone is selling one right now so you have the market cornered.

#5 9 years ago

So the levers activate when you depress the side knobs?

lol you just had one a few weeks ago lol

Yeah I know but that unbroken plastic is tempting by itself. Still got my keeper here with a broken plastic.

It is a looker. More photos without the glass and general shots of circuit boards are always appreciated, but we understand if you dont do your own mainenance. Have you had it a long time? Has it lived a sheltered life? I do wish you were closer.

#9 9 years ago

Does this one have a diamond coated playfield? Hard to get a playfield restore on this machine if not.

Prices are indeed all over the map on this one.

John's Banazi Run was bought on CL for $80 at a Salvation Army.. I know you paid more for it though, John..

Well look who showed up.

#13 9 years ago

Ok, wow, I've been getting emails left and right, I'd say I underestimated this. Tomorrow I will take pictures, a lot of pictures, close ups etc and a video which I will put on youtube. I'm open for all other suggestions on what people need to see or what else I should do. I apologize but I didn't think it would get such a response in 3 hrs and now I have a bunch of emails to respond to also. I'll also decide on a price. Its now obvious that 'best offer' was not the smartest idea on my part. Everyone is playing 'the game' and I brought that upon myself by saying best offer because then I was playing the game. I honestly think its worth more than $2000. It was bought at Pinball Perfection in Pittsburgh (west view) PA around 95' and has been in our house ever since, not used much at all in the last 14 years. I'll edit the post tomorrow with photos, thanks for responses and everything else.

#14 9 years ago

I don't know much about this game but I'd say it's probably worth at least $2,001.

Your damn right I did, and it needed a lot of work and money put into it....which I did all that. It turned out nice and the new owner was very happy with it even though there was some cosmetic issues with the cabinet front that neither of us liked but he knew all about it going into the deal....., I did not know about it until the moment I walked around the game the day I bought it and it was quite dissapointing to say the least. But like the buyer and I both said, at the end of the day its still a BR and they dont come up too often.

Nice ones will bring close to $5K all day long, some for even more and some for less.

I will jump in and say that it is most likely a production game. The one example that I saw did not originally come with Mylar, and it was only the main PF that was diamond plated.

Anyone agree/disagree?

#20 9 years ago

Great game, overpriced to the max.

Quoted from lllvjr:

$3k- 3500 all day

This is about right, tops 4K for a super nice one. Some dummy will pay stupid money for it though.

#21 9 years ago

looks like a nice game, my advice dont sell it, just my 2 cents but other then that GLWS

a machine like this is not easily found.

That is why I took this game off my wishlist - would love to have one, but not breaking the bank to do so...G&R is on the chopping block as welll

#24 9 years ago

So "fair" price sounds like $3500?

I would pay that pretty easily for this game in what appears to be pretty nice condition.

#25 9 years ago

This game is a $4k game if it's a nice as I think it may be. These games are near impossible to have the playfield redone unless its a dp version. You hardly ever see these for sale.

Its a good thing CPR is remaking the playfield on these then.

Yep, too bad it will be a long time before they come out though...

#28 9 years ago

Yes 3-3500 is a average play field with maybe some insert decals to cover up any paint wear. That's what I see lately

I'd not blink at that price either. If anyone on the west coast has one they want to sell or trade in that price range feel free to contact me.

#30 9 years ago

From what I've seen, finding one for $3500 isn't easy, even average condition these days

#31 9 years ago

Its hard to tell until more pics are up also remember this one has some issues and seems to be in the hands of a non pinhead so it may have alot of hidden issues not known .im interested in it tho depending on the numbers

#32 9 years ago

I have to think that most here would be trying to sell this game for 4500 (maybe more) and looking to buy at 3500???

It may have hidden issues but sure appears to be a gem in the rough at first glance.

Sorry to those I piss off by posting this, but the OP already made it to pinside so "getting a deal" is no longer going to happen. Better off hoping to find something fair for both if you are local and can check it out.

This is a deal that I would say requires seeing in person since the OP does not have the more seasoned eye to see what the issues may really be/or not be.

The fact that only a small handful of BRs were factory Diamondplated would mean this is probably a standard game. My lower playfield is DP (XR7 code) but the upper is mylar.

Agree with Whysnow on going and seeing this game in person. I don't know the seller at all but he mentioned where he purchased the game from originally. I have worked on several games that were purchased from the same place and they all had re-wiring done to them and things that didnt work. This place is in the business of selling games and not restoring them!

Please understand that I am only mentioning this as I have had experiences with machines from the place where it was purchased. I have nothing against the original place that sold the machine nor against the current seller. I even emailed the current seller advising him of my past experience and that he may want to put pictures up on here that show the inside of the backbox and also the cabinet. I also advised him he would want to post as to whether or not he was willing to ship the machine!

The outside of this machine appears to be really nice. Hopefully the inside is the same and the seller can get a good price for the game!

Weird!!! Not sure what happened either...

#40 9 years ago

Yeah, that's not going for $3500...pretty nice machine

I agree with this 100%
When I bought my Banzai Run they wanted $5500 I threw out $3500 as my first offer and we settled on $4500.
I felt for the condition it was in and that it was local for me it was a fair price for both of us.
This one from pictures alone looks to be in that same ball park for condition.
I really love Banzai Run

#42 9 years ago

You should have offered $1, then settled at $2,750.

#43 9 years ago

what the heck happened to this thread? It looks like pinside has a major bug???

Thread seems to have changed OPs???

#44 9 years ago

looks like the original thread starter posts and pics were deleted and possibly account as a whole was removed

then he got a new name to post back what happened

#45 9 years ago

I just started a new thread, sorry guys, it seems adding youtube links gets you in trouble....?????

#46 9 years ago

This is bizarre.
