Looks like it should open to put the ball back in the shooter lane. Not sure in gameplay when that would happen since I haven't seen a bonebusters since it was released in the late 80s/early 90s.....
Does it appear in solenoid test?
I was guessing the same, need to check the solenoid test again, but just wanted to be sure about what it is supposed to do. Easier to troubleshoot if you know what to look for.
Should operate in solenoid test . I can tell you it opens when ball is first shot into play after passing over ramp switch and stays open for a few secs!
