Yeah I see ‘em just about every day. And they’re there the next day. And even the day after that! The weeks go by. The listing disappears. People speculate, “oh far out it must have sold” and then surprise! The listing magically reappears. Must have dropped off the radar because the lister forgot to repost the ad.

These are the the ultra high end optimists, flaunting what they own, with hardly any intention of selling, but hoping to rake in big money through taking someone for a ride desperate enough to own that illusive dream theme. Laughing all the way to the bank and sneering at the cashed up cash cow, newb or dude they knowingly or unbeknownst just ripped off, or might have won last nights $10M Power Ball and decided to drop AU$33.5K on KISS or Met LE? Come on already.

Okay admittedly there’s no rules to say “how much is too much” and people can ask whatever they want to ask and do your own research. it’s just business. It’s simply the market. It’s what makes the world go round etc. But its also plain and simple dumb ass.

Admittedly and for many, the best thing about pinball has to be meeting like minded down to earth people, who enjoy sharing their knowledge, experience and even their games with other like minded people. Swaps, meets, trades and exchanges, yeah you gotta love that also!

This “stock market” sh#t, simply fuelled by greed, speculation, % point gains and hyperinflation (which is just monetary manipulation) can just piss right off. And let’s try to keep pinball non-exclusive, accessible and affordable to everyone and anyone slightly interested, seasoned veterans and newb newbs alike.

Well then I’m staying well away from the IC hook up in that case and hope like heck that a very talented audio technician (like the guy who did ST sound mod) gets key songs of the opening credits, like Shirley Bassey opening credits for Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever, and Moonraker can be integrated into the game.

Or are we gonna have to pay extra as add on content for that also?

Be nice if the spinner sound can be changeable, as machine gun fire could be a good alternative.

If spinner sounds could be easily changed on 80’s Williams and Gottlieb games, surely the board technology used now would make this a very simple option.

it’s reminds me slightly of the KISS Paul Star child chamber but expanded and more developed. I still really enjoy making that shot and envision Bird 1 Rocket to be a step up from this.

This configuration of circular stationary targets is certainly nothing new for pinball. It’s been done before but Bird 1 should give it more of an edge…

Been a few comments that this game appears to play to quick and pops are too prominent.

Two possible solutions

1. Adjust the actual pitch
2. Adjust the coil pulse setting to the pops

Anyone who played Gomez’s TF will know that the pops can be quite intense and prolonged. You get use it and also gives you some time to get ready for a the lower pf ball transition.

No visible scoops I hear you say? Bravo Mr Bond! Actually, isn’t there a concealed scoop just beneath the upper flipper? It’s nice to see a change to those square geometric metal nesting areas that everyone then has to place a cliffy around to chrome it out just that little bit more. At least this one’s a variant that looks like a second ball ejector which compliments the up kicker on the Austin Martin DB5.

If it’s still too tiring, just invite a few mates over and go multiplayer. You’ll sure enough get a rest at some point and isn’t this what makes it all that little bit more fun?
