Secured my le at msrp from Next Level. Now to await the cool mods sure to come, so many Bond gadgets to be made.
Quoted from John_I:I was on the list for a while for an LE. If you didn't have a spot at least a couple of weeks ago, it is basically MO at this point. FOMO has already stopped being an option.
FOMO has nothing to do with it. If it's a theme you want, you're ready, like you were. Same here. Other option is up to a year wait
Quoted from underlord:$15k-$20k??? For an LE? Wtf? Not even if Daniel Craig came over and set it up.
Quoted from reffob:This is the toy Gomez flashed on screen for a second, said it's related to Bond. Looks like a scuba diver with a knife[quoted image][quoted image]
Where can I find the stream?
Quoted from Budman:There will no doubt be a martini somewhere on a plastic, playfield or back glass ; “ shaken not stirred “ will be cause for a tilt warning!
What if the tilt Bob was a martini, on the playfield, and if you spilled( self contained of course) it tilted?
Quoted from Billygrippo:Isn’t the LE just extra fancy trim and such??
Mirrored backglass, shaker, art blades, invisiglass, powdercoat, better speakers. And that special plaque that makes people crazy, me included on this title
Quoted from mbrave77:I love mirrored backglass so much. Best part of the LE. Really wish we could buy it as an accessory
I dont realize how nice they are until I look at my metallica pro next to gz and rush. . Still a great translight, but just not the same.
Quoted from PanzerKraken:Yea I've never seen any worth in any Stern LE. The premium upgrade is clear as day. The LE is just.... heres a bunch of money to be "limited"
Not really, if you add all the features on a prem that comes on an le, its close to the same money. And I really like backglsss over a translight. But, I only get an le on a theme I think I will keep, so I'm happy I was able to secure an le for bond
Was there any different features on batman and ehoh sle models vs the le? Other than cosmetics? I've never seen either of those in person
Quoted from Chambahz:So aside from hating on the artwork, the exposed ramp edges (clearly terrible engineering), and this atrocious arm that supports the jetpack Bond, you're all in right?
I love the LE art, and haven't seen it,
Quoted from PinMonk:Weird there's no 007 iconography on the backglass art, when they have it on the apron.
But then people would say that's redundant
I was just told stern delayed reveal to make new translights because of the pinside outrage. But, it was my wife who told me , so ,,,
I don't know how they can do 2 LE games and keep everyone happy. I think it will be Thunderball as LE
Quoted from jazc4:I wonder if the scoop shooting the ball like you described would end up destroying the edge/lip of the depressed area?
Not if it clears it on eject. Ehoh ejects 2/3 across playfield from the crypt, we have over 1000 games, no more dimples than a normal game
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:Not trying to offend anyone, but this pricing is for the rich and the poor. The poor who will scrape together the 7k and get the Pro, the rich will buy the LE at 15K without issue. They are taking the scalpers place because they can
For the sake of ending argument here, i'm only talking about the way stern priced it, not what you will buy based on your particular net worth.
One question, why not make the limited ed a larger number?
Cuz of the word "limited"?
Quoted from Bmanpin:I have an LE coming. Don't consider myself rich either. The 60th or SLE is way out of my reach. Pro's work as well, depends on how passionate you are about the title in my mind. Pro's are great for routing obviously. LE's will always have a higher resale value. I'm not a flipper and just like to play casually in my basement with friends but when it comes time to move something i'm in a better position with an LE.
To each their own. This is just a damn fun hobby for me that seems to be dissected a bit too much by some.
I also have a badass distributor that holds an LE spot for me if needed due to my loyalty.
I'm same as you, never have bought to flip. Happy to break even on most. And I've bought all my pins except gnr from next level, so always have an le if I want one. But there are only a few more themes I'd spend the money on
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:Toyota sold 9 million cars last year, how many were limited model.
????
I'm just happy to see play finally, knowing its probably less than 50% coded. Give it some time, it has the possibility of being a great pin. I have faith in GG.
Quoted from PinMonk:Yeah, I've owned every recent Lonnie game. It's his MO. Generally speaking, sloppier, more boring code than all the other top level coders at Stern. KISS is my favorite that he did, but he had help. Lyman's mode helped a LOT. The rest? Meh. He's generally Mr "good enough" and I'm not a fan of that.
IMO, of course.
Seems to me tho that things have changed a bit at stern with code. Used to be a long wait, now they are releasing code fairly regularly. And not all is IC related. Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I think Bond will progress rapidly too. We need to give them a chance before condemning them,,
Just watched again, ball sure seems to want to go in the acrylic scoop a lot, maybe the acrylic is lower than the field? Only saw 1 shot that sdtm, just to the right of the drop targets. I think with a few updates it will be a great fun shooter. Action button never was lit I believe, so much to be added still.
I'd like to find a way to make the mech holding jet pack bond a bit less noticeable. Seems awfully big, maybe just needs some camouflaging,, not a complaint, just thinkin
Quoted from Sheev_Palpatine:Does posting a . And nothing else mean you’re blocked?
.
Quoted from Psw757:So is the rocket a mech if there is no mechanically actuated movement to it?
Kinda? I'd does look like it helps to hit the targets, if it was static, it wouldn't.
Quoted from Hogey:A buddy just sent me this metal sign he made for my soon acquisition. So cool. 2’X3’.
[quoted image]
Can I be his friend too?
Quoted from manadams:This thread...
[quoted image]
Boy, you're stepping in it now, implying a fat girl can't ride a bike
Quoted from insight75:Dude! You can't say fat!
But can we all agree, she is fat, and can't ride? We have proof
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Making my bond shooter, have a red one to do tmrw, which I think will look better. Its 1/8" narrower than stern knob, but biggest I could find
[quoted image][quoted image]
Got the red one drilled and glued, much better than black, and I think it will look cool on the game.
20221014_195029 (resized).jpgQuoted from John_I:I will not be watching this or any other stream until I get my game. It's already bought and paid for, so I want to discover all the ins and outs myself rather than watching someone else do it. After I've played 50 or so games, I'll watch Ray Davidson or someone playing it on a stream so I can learn how to score and progress though the game.
You have wayyyyy more discipline than I do I cant wait to see , but it will be only one I watch, and I won't watch it all, maybe 20 minutes of actual play.
Quoted from PM_Jeremy:Here's our first Bond video - I have the Premium in the can but not edited yet. Stay tuned for more from Expo 2022
Great video, I appreciate your set up. Can finally hear the game, great sound effects, especially when hitting the missile. Looking forward to the premium vid.
Quoted from PM_Jeremy:Here's our first Bond video - I have the Premium in the can but not edited yet. Stay tuned for more from Expo 2022
Glad to see the ball not hanging up in rhe pops so much. Seemed to stay in there forever on the deadflip stream, better gap in the contacts.
Quoted from Daditude:Level with me; how annoying is the wobbling rocket on a scale of 1-10?
Maybe so, but it did sound really good on Jeremy's video when the missile was hit. I would rate it as 4 , but not really a concern to me at all.
Quoted from Goyomex:Yep, more like 47-49% at higher incomes when you add State to Fed tax rates. So roughly have that total income number goes to taxes before creative tax accounting comes into play.
Oh those poor athletes, having to live on 10 or 15 mill a year, plus all the perks
Quoted from DropGems:I have a bond le order. What was it again, 13k?
Godzilla le was 10500 and rush le 11500, right?
I was 10400 gz. 11200, rush. 12900 bond. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow
Quoted from Sloshy:Is anyone else bothered by the fact the premium pop bumpers are popping together unlike the pro?
I know its small, but seems cheap to me for a premium.
/sad
I'm a bit turned off by this.
How does it affect anything?
Quoted from dvmrunner:Anyone working on a shooter knob? Maybe an ejector shift knob or a Walther PPK replica?
I made this for our game

I didn't use this one,but there are options out there
Quoted from wcbrandes:Sold my spot for the LE. I just do not see the value anymore in these things at these prices. I am sure not the only one!
Profit, loss or break even?
Quoted from Tsskinne:On location at North End Pub in Lafayette, IN! Come check it out!
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
First impressions?
Quoted from Invictus:Stern’s new James Bond is likely one of the worst pinball machines ever created in terms of gameplay. It's just extremely poor. Try it! I am incredibly disappointed. I can’t comprehend how a competent manufacturer can market something like this without remorse. It’s just below par. What's going on? It's not like the other manufacturers are doing much better these days...
This will go over well
Quoted from paul_8788:To restate what has been said multiple times in the thread:
Stern's prices keep going up at an alarming rate, and in their most expensive cornerstone ever they implement a cost cutting measure similar to the Home pins.
If someone doesn't understand how it could rub some buyers the wrong way, then I don't know what else to say. I agree with Stern and GGs stance that it doesn't impact game play, but neither did those dumbass playfield peg supports they had on the Pro models for a while.
It is the perception of Stern cheapening their builds while raising their prices at the same time that is behind most people's problem with it.
I'm not happy with the price of games either and do understand why it pisses people off. In the end tho, it's a non issue in gameplay, and I'd bet a lot if people would never notice it. Or care
Quoted from PinMonk:I was referring to the gameplay of "hit some lit indicators, then advance to the next mode, then do it again" for main mode gameplay. Stranger Things has MORE of it than GotG, but it's essentially similar pretty basic gameplay. There's not a lot of complexity to the code. And I would agree that STh is better than GotG code-wise.
Not trying to derail , but I sent you a pm on a maintenance question on acdc. No response in that thread
Quoted from kool1:Watched a long stream last night and I think so - I'm going to wait to buy but it's growing on me.
I ordered an le day one, then after all the drama, tried to sell for msrp, no real serious offers. It arrived Tuesday, I did a 11 hour round trip, set up yesterday and really like this pin!. Some unique, to me, shots, and I agree it's at 25% is all, but I can see the potential. Gomez will not disappoint, could be a real sleeper pin. Glad I didnt panic sell
