This looks fun. I really like the art on the Premium.
Game design looks interesting as well, can't wait to see
Quoted from onemilemore:Curious how you're gonna access that hill ramp in the back - looks steep from the photos.
Looks like a fast orbit round the back
Quoted from PanzerKraken:The playfield looks good, but that Only Live Twice on the premium looks like a terrible choice.
I actually love it!
Quoted from transprtr4u:reveal is cancelled !
Photos showing up then taken down either guerilla marketing strategic leaks or just bad IT, I'm voting for officially "unofficial", but by every means, intentional, leaks
Quoted from kool1:LE is definitely the best looking game.
Subjective - I prefer the premium
Quoted from yancy:I could google it, but who is Seth Davis?
Quoted from Bos98:Apparently they opened the sales up prior to the clock expiring. Pretty shitty.
I saw the add to cart change at 50 seconds prior to countdown clock
Quoted from Grantman:If I can point out a possible silver lining, and maybe I'm being naive, but maybe fewer flippers at this price since it's starting out so high?
Anyway, can you blame Stern for raising the price of the LE so much? They all sold out instantly (or well ahead of time). I'm not happy about it but it's the state of the hobby today.
Definitely fewer flippers. I don't blame Stern, they will charge as much as the market bears, however, while they are trying to spread pinball, they are at the same time closing the doors to potential buyers, the ceiling is coming quickly on the Premium model. The market of those willing to buy post MSRP LE scalper prices has to be dwindling. Even finding someone to pay $18k markup, only leaves $3500 profit for a lot of work and potential risk.
Is the hobby about collecting, playing, a combination? For me, playing is front and center, I don't understand the collector mentality for bragging or pure speculation/flipping. I can make a premium look 10x's better than an LE for less $. If it's bolted, for me, I can't justify bragging flex.
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:Let's be real here, a pretty big percentage of LE buyers are looking for the FLIP and know that while it's not really justified over the Premium, people are paying over that on the secondary market all day long.
So the LE price IS worth it based on the market history on LE's. This is just knocking out some of the flippers and those that usually buy the LE's from the flippers can now get them from a dealer.
That being said, LE's ARE NOT FOR ME. I don't need to impress anyone with dress up items in this hobby anymore lol. Prices are just ridiculous and out of control in my humble opinion.
Too much leg work and risk for such a small profit as well with Stern cutting into the margin. Much easier ways to make and guaranteed profit, an extra day or two at work for example...
Quoted from o07eleven:Is it too much work? You just need a 3x3 floor space to store the game in box. Then when someone wants it, they come pick it up and hand you cash. It's practically zero effort to flip an LE. The only hard part is coming up with the cash for it. Sure, you can make profit in less time buying/repairing/selling used games, but you will likely need to do a lot of leg work, chasing messages/calls, gas, labor, etc.
By work I mean :
stressing over a successful damage free delivery
risk that the profit margin doesn't decrease while waiting on a potential buyer
tying up potential earning cash on a potential speculation
rounding up a reputable buyer
performing a successful cash transfer
I guess I'm just not the flipper type or of that mindset. I guess if your tying up hundreds of thousands in multiple buys it would make some sense as a volume flip, but the one off, nah... The silver lining, at these prices, there will be less interested in the flipping scheme
Quoted from Stuieb84:It was a shot in the dark with a google search hoping that a news site made a mistake with news embargo on elwin model. I can't guarantee that this is the elwin pin
Looks like a simple Google search is all it took.. 007 site is sabotaging their own secret
Quoted from Stuieb84:A google image search of "bond 60th anniversary pinball" shows this image from the official 007 website. Is this the Keith Elwin pin?
It only comes up on the image search. When you click on the page it shows the already released versions

From the TPN Stream
Screenshot 2022-09-22 215300.jpgQuoted from cooked71:This is the same Elwin that said in a stream a couple of days ago he wasn't working on a Bond game?
He never said that, he was talking about a reskin or speculation his next layout...bad rumor. I watched the entire Stream, he never said it
Quoted from cooked71:Thanks for clarifying - seemed odd when I first heard it.
Sure thing, he also just denied saying it on the TPN Stream
Quoted from TomN:I can’t believe how many people are only just now watching these movies for the first time. Pretty cool, yet weird that’s it’s because of a pinball machine mainly. Lol
I grew up with Moore, born in 72, the only Connery I had seen was the rogue, Never say Never Again...So for me the classics are brand new. Watched Dr. No for the first time yesterday. Looking back at '62, I can see how it set the stage for future movies in the franchise.
One thing i noticed was how technical the actors, Connery, had to be in his movements. I wonder how many scene retakes they had to do back then...The scenes played out with minimal cuts , it had to be a little maddening to hit all the marks while continuing to act.
Good flick though for its time.
I also never watched the Walking Dead before getting the pin....now I'm addicted to the series and waiting for all the final season 11 shows to drop...
I played a bunch of dollar games on it at Expo. Friend of mine put up 2.7 billion and completed the current code with nothing else to do but hit Jetpack multiball and Bird 1...even with that, we kept playing and it didn't get boring at all...very fun shooter
What stood out to me:
1. Skill shot not really there for rollovers, full or autoplunging almost guarantees the ball drop into the lane 6 rollover, I'm sure this will be tweaked - a good option might be try not to get lane 6
2. Full plunge with left flipper allows for some unique skill plunges around the orbit to the upper or lower left flippers
3. Lock shot to physical lock felt great and almost too easy from the right flipper, left bricked up on the gate mostly
4. Left eject area depended on the game setup, sometimes led to chaos, other times straight into pops, some machines would launch right into the cenetr target and SDTM, seems perfect placement was into pops
5. Flow was there and felt very good overall. Right lower ramp for Villians was trickiest shot to nail for most
6. Talking to Tim Sexton while we were playing dollar games at 3am with him on Dracula, Flintstones and Zepplin (yeah we were glutons for punishment ) after the tournament and he noted the code is early and the bonuses will definitely be balanced...we were getting some crazy post drain blowups
7. Overall fun game and felt very good. Have faith in the coders, I think this game wil be a blast when fleshed out
