Don’t the LE’S ship before the premiums ? If so that’s a reason to go LE

Quoted from JSC:What was Gomez holding up in that video? Maybe the Jetpack?
Looked like a scuba diver. Maybe for the Thunderball version jet pack is swapped for scuba
I’m in. I’m on a list for an LE or Premium with preference for LE won’t know which until my distributor gets his allocation numbers from stern. Been on the list for over a year…
Quoted from Pinballer31520:JAMES BOND RELEASE DELAYED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On behalf of everyone at Stern Pinball and out of respect to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we will be postponing our webinar and delaying the launch of our James Bond pinball machines.
We will send updated details for timing and registration once available.
The counter on the stern store added 7 days to the counter looks like next Tuesday the 20th now.
Quoted from BMore-Pinball:yeah .... but how are the fonts?
Not the best art package, but they fit the 60’s bond theme well enough.
If the art or font is a deal breaker on this one The good news is we live in a world with several other in production pinball machines to choose from.
Quoted from PiperPinball:Octopussy would have been a much better Bond choice.
amazon.com link »
No, the one particular Bond film out of the 25 I favor is clearly the better choice (everyone in the thread)
Quoted from zaphX:The extra delay on the game seems to have made this thread devolve into a shitshow.
Pinside Feature request - private groups so the 3 or 4 of us that just want to talk about pinball have a place to do so….
Street level Elwin game makes no sense, but it would explain why Steve Ritchie just packed up and left in the middle of making the game.
“Q”non level speculation - last time they made it street level game it was Beatles a 60’s theme and the top trim was Diamomd.
7 Diamonds are Forever street level games with a price of $30k - $1,000,000 10ct Diamond topper to follow by Christmas. AND They are only making 5 toppers the 7 owners have to fight for them.
Quoted from Medic:They do but expect to pay more than msrp. Looking for an LE as well at msrp
Me too. I’m fine with a premium but want an LE because they are made first.
Quoted from Darth_Chris:Do we know for sure there is a SLE ?
PRO….dr No
Premium….you only live twice
LE…….Thunderball ?
SLE…..Goldfinger ?
If there is a SLE it has to be Goldfinger so LE would be Thunderball
Everyone would want a SLE Goldfinger
Diamonds are forever topper with real diamonds $1,000,000 msrp
Quoted from Rizmo:I would think Moonraker would make lots
of sense in black and blue.
They are only doing Connery movies
Quoted from Royale-W-Cheese:Mod makers get ready, I have money to send . LOL. I might make my own Topper .
I already have a topper in the works similar to my others.
LCD as a backdrop that plays the gun barrel opening. The character turns and lifts arm to fire.
Should be ready to reveal in 30ish days.

9 minute update on TPN
https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-7h2ca-12c8e88
60th Anniversary to be revealed: To be different and have more Bonds. Single level only E.M. inspired game... similar to Beatles. Redesigned by Elwin.
Almost nothing revealed to dealers.
September 22 and 10 a.m. central is official release time.
So Whoa Nellie big juicy Bonds then
I wonder if they will stick with 1,000 LE or will they do 1,000 Thunderball LE and 1,000 Goldfinger LE
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:If I could get a LE at MSRP I might go for it knowing I could get my money back (and some) whether or not it was any good after the fact. If they up their LE numbers though... wouldn't touch it and would wait for a second hand premium in a year or two to rotate.
I'd be all over an LE and would even pay a small mark up. Would be more than fine with a Premium - Just want an LE because they are shipped before the Premium
Quoted from TreyBo69:I mean hopefully not more than 9k, but I know that's a pipe dream...
Probably more like I hope not more than 19k
Quoted from Daditude:You're not wrong.
This is the first dream theme to have come up in awhile for me.
Same here. I roll my eyes every time I hear it’s my dream theme, grail, LE for me sight unseen.
Yet here I am and now I get it. Sometimes even when it’s irrational there are things you just have to have no matter what.
Quoted from kool1:"No payments, no interest for 1 year!"
ACK!
With Sterns back log you would still have it paid for before you get your game
Quoted from PinMonk:Yeah, should be a lottery. IC members that want one sign up and are told on launch day if their number is pulled. Much more fair way to do it given the level of interest in the LEs.
Or they should just give more allocation to legitimate deals like ZMeny Flip N Out pinball and the other good ones and not piss people off by selling out before their counter reaches 0.
Quoted from KING-HENRY:that rocket better be made of stainless steel, and not plastic at these prices. Good luck and have fun on this one guys..I went with a Medeival Madness Remake instead. I'm sure it will shoot awesome though..so no hate..just don't want to beta test, and was THIS CLOSE to doing that on a TS4.
Stainless Steel rocket confirmed on the premium and LE per the stern game flyer. It doesn’t say on the Pro flyer.
Quoted from Grantman:I was looking at that. It says "Stainless steel 'Bird One' Gantry with diverter and 3 ball lock." I'm guessing the silver part of the missile is a plastic shell and probably something more solid on the bottom where the ball actually hits it.
Good catch. The “Gantry” must be the bridge that holds the locked balls.
Just paid the invoice on my LE. Paid MSRP free shipping and no sales tax. So be patient and don’t give into FOMO from the flippers.
Quoted from PinMonk:Why are you paying 6 weeks before shipping? Has Stern moved up the production?
I’m sure my distributor wanted to lock in his LE buyers that way if I was a flake or needing to flip my preorder to pay for it he could offer it to someone else.
Quoted from NPO:That shit needs to go or at least be a choice to block it if you're donating.
Just canceled my Pinside+ yearly renewal. Definitely DO NOT need stupid ads in threads cluttering shit up.
I think it’s a beta thing they are trying out. If enough users disapprove I’m sure it will go away.
Or it would be cool if they offered an option to block the ads if you don’t want them
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:Not if you got a red heart (paying member)
I have a red heart and still see the ads
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:On the bottom of the page?
We’re talking about two different ad sections
Yes, I see “promoted items from the pinside marketplace” at the bottom of the page
Quoted from Pinhead1982:Bond, then BTTF and I’m out of the NIB game… I’m expecting a right bending over if/ when a Kapow BTTF is released.
No amount of KY is gonna stop the butt hurt
Will be happy with my collection then.
I’m totally out after my Bond LE
… until they make something else.
I was buying a Connery bond game no matter what. That being said everything including the art is better than I was expecting.
Quoted from DropGems:They’ve been skimping since ghostbusters prem (stern mech pinnacle)
I owned a ghostbusters premium and there was nothing groundbreaking in there. Bond on a wand will at least pick up the ball, slimmer was just a bash toy. The magnislings were just magnets under the playfield that caused more drains than a real sling and the little ghost projector wasn’t too great either. GB was a good loaded premium but not the pinnacle.
Quoted from MaxIsDead:Just received tracking for my game! Yay
LE? Or are you an operator getting a Pro?
Quoted from TomN:I can’t believe how many people are only just now watching these movies for the first time. Pretty cool, yet weird that’s it’s because of a pinball machine mainly. Lol
Goldeneye came out when I was in high school and after seeing it I immediately watched them all. I’ve been watching them in order every few years ever since. Of all the crazy ways to discover classic Bond, I never would have guessed pinball.
Pinside needs private threads so we can make true owners and enthusiasts clubs that can stay on topic.
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Got the red one drilled and glued, much better than black, and I think it will look cool on the game.
[quoted image]
Love it. I made a shooter rod also.
89AEFF3E-21EF-4ED2-87E2-BC8DED5162F4 (resized).jpegQuoted from Grantman:A Stern dealer is now listing Bond LEs in the marketplace for $14k. I also posted above that another dealer contacted me yesterday saying they had at least one available (info on previous page). The big price hike has definitely had an impact on demand (it would definitely help the dealer in the marketplace if they just listed them at MSRP but they had to get greedy). It's going to be interesting to see what happens when titles that are less popular than James Bond come out next year.
Many of us paid $12,999 out the door for our Bond LE’s I’m sure the dealers with inventory still would be sold out if they weren’t marking them up.
Quoted from John_I:I will not be watching this or any other stream until I get my game. It's already bought and paid for, so I want to discover all the ins and outs myself rather than watching someone else do it. After I've played 50 or so games, I'll watch Ray Davidson or someone playing it on a stream so I can learn how to score and progress though the game.
Samezies !
Quoted from Had:The Deadflip version of the game and the most recent pictures have a black pad (left) replacing the artwork that is shown on the stern website (right).
Let's hope this is fixed when they start shipping.
What are the opinions of the rocket so far? This area may be far less impressive if it only wobbles.
[quoted image]
The artwork is on the pro. Premium has plexiglass and sculpts below.
Quoted from Psw757:I believe he is referring to the side art where black rubber on side wall is. The release video and photos from Stern showed Largos hydrofoil boat with a smaller blue rubber above water and beneath the clear plastic there was cabinet side art showing more of underwater fight scene. Hopefully the games with still have this. You can see it in this picture
[quoted image]
Oh I see it now. Yeah it needs the art.
Quoted from Utesichiban:So Game Exchange not only won't refund your deposit but also want a transfer fee? Good grief, doesn't seem like a great way to retain customers.
If I we’re a game exchange customer I’d be Flip n out right about now
Quoted from Gexchange:Deposits on LE's have been non cancelable for 3 years now. Because to many flippers were buying 2-5 of them all across the country and then if they dont blow up and they can make a profit they cancel the order days before they ship and we get stuck with them. - If you commit to a game, why should we get stuck with it? We don't hold your money it goes to Stern, lets say 20 people cancel there games you do the math. That's 40k In Deposits, plus we still have to take those games from Stern, so now we have gotten stuck with 250k in inventory that we have been telling customers for weeks sorry we are sold out on.
The other Problem we are having with cancelations is when we refund a deposit, credit card companies do not refund that fee to us. Lets take 3% of of 2k.. thats 60 bucks. Then lets look at 200 orders a year that cancel... thats 12k in a sunk cost. Other dealers and distributors have gone to no refunds allowed on Pros and Premiums as well... or refunds are charged a 3% fee. Guys these are real numbers I'm sharing with you. not made up.
The Transfer fee.. This was also done to help prevent flipping.. we had a Mando LE change hands 5 times before it shipped. That's time for my staff, to change orders, change spreadsheets, send conformation emails, move money from customer account to customer account ect. We have been playing with that number to find the right number to help slow down the flipping because its not healthy for pinball..
All of these policy's are on the page that everyone sees when they place there deposit.. this is not new information or a surprise.
JJ
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for posting.
Quoted from TreyBo69:What you might get is Stern giving LE owners the chance to spend another $1k+ for a topper
More seriously though, if the new price point is that hard of sale for some distros...maybe Stern can keep the LE price where it's at but throw in a topper or some of the other accessories like shooter rods. It's hard to lower prices, but you can add more value in other ways.
The Mando topper is $2000 I don’t see them going back to $1000 for a Bond topper
Quoted from mstang01:Living paycheck to paycheck doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t make a lot of money… different levels of poverty is how one friend described it. It could be the 10k toys causing them to live paycheck to paycheck
Bingo. To each their own. You can’t spend someone else’s money.
they could make more than enough money for their lifestyle and they just have themselves on a toy budget coming out of each paycheck.
Quoted from dvmrunner:Anyone working on a shooter knob? Maybe an ejector shift knob or a Walther PPK replica?
I made a few Bond on a wand shooters to go with the toppers I made.
4AC9AB97-2116-4C80-8CE9-8CDC6CDCDCFC (resized).jpegQuoted from TheClownpuncher:I'm not big on the toppers. Not enough value for me for official ones. I've seen a couple of laser cut ones that are cool, I'm sure some of these really creative types will come up with more. Art blades I really like (better than mirror) it's just my preference. I'm sure Tilt or someone will make them if Stern doesn't but who knows given licensing issues that could pop up.
Regardless, I'll probably get one, just not sure when. I really liked the shots and play and if they added video and such to the modes it will really shine. Hopefully they got that with the license.
I made a few toppers for Bond. Have 2 left.
Also have a few shooter rods left too.

Zach at Flip n out pinball my distributor.
Quoted from metallik:So how's that garage floor coating working out for your stairs?
That’s carpet on the stairs - it does look oddly close to my garage floor coating though
