Watching the five stages of grief play out here amongst people with $100K collections is really something to watch and go "wow....".
Must be tough.

Quoted from Bigdaddy1000:I'm a big fan of the theme and those movies in particular, but the playfield looks pretty sparse to me, especially at that price.
Are you kidding? - game is packed!
post 3060 Lonnie is lead and Mike V assisting with rules.
Quoted from PinBalt:Where was this stated? Is Mike assisting like Stranger Things. If not then Im out.
Quoted from PersonX99:that wobbly rocket bumper though....lol
Whacky inflatable soviet tube man!
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:Define "packed" lol
Lots of toys, shots, flippers, ramps - what more do you want?
Quoted from Oneangrymo:Man I just told my wife "Tough titties" when I told her I ordered a new pinball machine, now Im in hell
A story worthy of a Sean Connery pin.
Quoted from PiperPinball:Its an expensive toy primarily targeted at Baby Boomers. (current target market).
However, when Baby Boomers go by-by, prices might drop as the next target market (Gen X and Millennials) will have limited funds. Plus they don't really care about about nostalgia.
Millennial here, I love pinball. You are right I don't make enough to buy any DMD and never games. System 11 and older only for me.
1,000 LEs for Stern at $14k tax and shipping.
1,000 CEs for JJP at $15k plus?
Do you think it’s sustainable for every release going forward?
Certain titles maybe. Not every one. i.e. TS4.
Market will do what it does
So I was able to purchase an LE through stern. It came to $14738 after taxes and shipping. Not sure I want to spend that much. Does anyone know if I can waive shipping if I want to pick it up? Does anyone know if I can cancel the order and what’s the time frame in that? I don’t think I want to try to sell it later or try to transfer the purchase unless the offer is worth my headache
A lot of concern about this rocket, what is does, what is doesn't do, where it goes, where it doesn't go...I think it looks pretty cool. My focus is on the prem/LE ball lock diverter gate, hope that thing is rock solid and doesn't sag, otherwise...scratch goes the PF.
Anyway, I'm in on this game mainly for the shots. That Bond women shot looks repeatable; repeat that a few times then hit the henchmen shot, diamond spinner and then the villain shot...that sounds fun. Plus, I'm a sucker for the mirrored back glass, and the powder coat looks rad.
Quoted from kool1:Lots of toys, shots, flippers, ramps - what more do you want?
It has 2 ramps, 3 flippers, like most games and all games have a bunch of shots.
Quoted from Medic:I don’t think I want to try to sell it later or try to transfer the purchase unless the offer is worth my headache
Sweet lord
It'd be fun if the rocket was cocktail mixer that shook (even better if it could load balls for Martini Multiball)
The rocket is fun too though. Great visual

So I was able to purchase an LE through Stern. It came to $14,738 after taxes and shipping. The shipping eats into my potential flip profit, so does anyone have any insight as to whether I can cancel the order to not get screwed on my flip? I don't want to sell it unless some desperate pinhead wants to pay me significantly over MSRP to "make it worth my time"
FTFY
Just felt like that comment needed some clarity
I was so happy to be out on this one. I didn't even try to get one when it was released on Stern IC. I watched the clock and said nope....I'm gonna pass for once......then got an email from a distro saying they had one available. I'm in. Sigh.....
All I’m saying is that looks like a dildo to me and they want you to knock balls into it
Guys will pay a lot to play with cock and balls
Quoted from insight75:I was so happy to be out on this one. I didn't even try to get one when it was released on Stern IC. I watched the clock and said nope....I'm gonna pass for once......then got an email from a distro saying they had one available. I'm in. Sigh.....
You did better than me, error on checkout so I missed, Stern support said yeah error but still sorry… I can’t find any distributors with an LE at MSRP

Who said anything about significant over msrp? I’m just having some buyers remorse and giving a chance to MAYBE selling my spot. If someone wants to offer a little more for my headache otherwise back to stern it is.
Quoted from MK6PIN:LE works for me...great looking game......did someone "call" for price on SLE? Scared to hear it, but curious......
Nobody knows - don't believe them if they say they do.
Quoted from Spacemanratso09:All I’m saying is that looks like a dildo to me and they want you to knock balls into it
Is that what people do with dildos?!
I guess I've been using mine wrong.

My concerns as well. How strong is it if gets hit on the edge/tip. Definitely a potential weak point.
The PF can get torn up within just a few hundred games…
Gotta see in action I guess

I feel ya, but listen - I can absolutely imagine some folks riding excitement/fomo to buyer's remorse at this price. And while I'm still in on mine (though much less excited at this price) if I really didn't want it I'd rather just get out quietly than fuss with trying to turn a profit on one LE. So, your cynicism may well be right but I would not be surprised at all if the guy is sincere.
I have no idea about cancelling that order through stern, but I'd imagine they would.
People are complaining about the price but one guy reached out to me saying he'd let the LE go for $16K. He can keep it at that price, no pin is worth $16K.
Quoted from TheLaw:WTF kind of dildos are you guys ordering? Mine don't look anything like that rocket.
Gotta be like the Ohio guys that drive to Michigan for weed. You want the good shit you gotta come down south brother!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Is that what people do with dildos?!
I guess I've been using mine wrong.
Hey, it's been at least a decade since people started talking about the LOTR LE "Hairdick", we NEEDED something new like this
Quoted from grantopia:You want the good shit you gotta come down south brother!
I'll always by my fireworks in Ohio; the way the lord intended!
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Is that what people do with dildos?!

He's still in the gateway phase; don;t rush it.
Tried to grab an LE through Stern IC hit the pay button and just watched the circle spin. At that moment I get a text suspicious charge text yes to confirm. By the time I said yes and re-hit the pay button they sold out. I did the well I guess it wasn’t meant to be thing. Accepting defeat I decided I wanted to make sure I got my name on a first run premium so called local distributor and I said jokingly unless you have an LE. You guessed it! This is my first LE and Second NIB stern. I can’t wait till November.
Quoted from rai:People are complaining about the price but one guy reached out to me saying he'd let the LE go for $16K. He can keep it at that price, no pin is worth $16K.
GNR CE, Big Bang Bar, STh LE, Addams Gold, JPLE, IMDN LE would all like a word......
The game looks great, I love the LE. I was hoping for Goldfinger with Gold but totally get it now why they chose Thunderball. Aquamarine looks really nice! (It's one of my favorite colors) and will be easy to clean. I remember doing brass plating with an Indy I used to own and it was tough to maintain and micro scratches show up easily, didn't photograph well. I like the Bond on a Wand because I like Gimmicks in pinball, what I don't like is when they try and charge more money for something not mechanical and throw in an LCD screen. I also love Jetpack Bond on the Backglass the best, think it will look incredible mirrored. I think the Pro and Premium are nice options too and you can't lose either way. You get a sense that this was George's baby to design and produce, looking forward to hearing more commentary from him. It's neat that there's an Elwin game coming out too and looking forward to seeing that one but this is a home run all around. Pinball is way too expensive these days, but I feel much better putting my money here than Toy Story at 15K. Good on Stern to recognize it was too much by JJP and still offer the Pro that's still expensive but realistic in price for those who like the game and love Pinball.

LOL, well why did you buy it then?
serious question
Quoted from TheLaw:It has 2 ramps, 3 flippers, like most games and all games have a bunch of shots.
So to be more packed for the money you want 4 flippers, 4 ramps and 2 more shots to clutter it up? Game looks packed and perfect to me!
Quoted from bossk4hire:Good gosh... anyone talking about anything other than the LE?
That is this hours topic
BREAKING NEWS ALERT!!! Stern will using leftover armor from Beatles Gold for Elwins 60th Anniversary 007 pinball!
Quoted from Jkush18:BREAKING NEWS ALERT!!! Stern will using leftover armor from Beatles Gold for Elwins 60th Anniversary 007 pinball!
That's not how pinball works.
besides, I thought Beatles used up all the "WWE gold rails they have laying around!"

that was GOTG (ok actually maybe that one is true lol)
Quoted from CrazyLevi:Lmao yep bond buyers will be suffering serious remorse that they didn’t get a Halloween instead.
You've got to be employed by Stern lol. If not, they should be paying you.
Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:Just for humor. Which one is worse?
