These pinball connoisseurs are my personal favorite at our arcade. I've seen so many cases, where a group led by their "pinbal guru" comes in and then the said guru dispenses their nuggets of wisdom, like playing the Mando while explaining how it's a good old 70s pinball machine, just like he remembers. I sure don't remember TFTs from that era!

Of course you do. I used to too, because we both grew up in the same era, as did the rest of pinside, where male is the default preferred gender.

Example: the word “guys”. Most of us say “guys” when referring to a group of people, no matter their gender, right?

But you wouldn’t say you go around fucking “guys”, would you?

“Guys” is just one small example of literally thousands of little words, expressions and phrases where the male experience is the preferred default, and women aren’t acknowledged equally. We live in a systemically sexist culture, and a whole hell of a lot of big things and little things, like “guys” needs to change before actual equality can exist.

Based on the aggressively mediocre art package I've seen in blurry photos, I'm willing to go with inattention to detail as just as likely as "wokeness" for the text.

What’s the point in a refundable deposit?
A deposit is a contract with future commitment to pay the balance of an item. If the buyer fails to complete their end of the bargain, they lose their deposit. It also allows a distributor to order additional games, knowing they have them sold, or at the very least, could discount them by up to the lost deposit amount and still make their profit.
Refundable deposits do nothing for anyone. There’s zero commitment aside from someone showing that they can come up with the deposit amount, typically a fraction of the total amount.
The thing you appear to be challenged with, is the fact that this hobby is so crazy, that people are throwing money at distributors for games they’ve barely seen, and have no idea as to the quality/fun factor.
It is truly a nutty time in this hobby. That, I will not disagree with.
But non refundable deposits are absolutely legit and a good thing. It helps keep the flakes out.

A commitment works two ways. If there is a non-refundable deposit then the price and remaining balance needs to be fixed.

Are there any cases of a non-refundable deposit where the price isn't fixed? It seems to be the refundable ones like Stern where price isnt guaranteed. My preference is for non refundable guaranteed prices like what JJP and Spooky offer.

That's what most Americans saw and that is all they know. Check out the Toho films from the 1990s and the 2000s. They are way better, less kiddy orientated, and Godzilla is a total badass. The American films are a separate genre, not to be confused with the Toho Godzilla. Also, I highly recommend the original Godzilla from 54 in the original Japanese with subtitles. A much more serious film that makes a lot more sense than the cheesey American cut version.

I found a bunch of these posters I got from ComiCon 2012 for the 50th anniversary of JB. Would make a cool back glass. Even though it's Goldfinger centric, it does a good job of working in all the Bond titles.

Any Felix Leiter fans? He was the American CIA agent and Bond's friend who would sometimes show up and help Bond.

He was in 4 of the Coonnery films (Dr No, Goldfinger, Thunderball, Diamonds are Forever). He was played by a different actor each time so he might not be included him because of that confusion.

Since he helps Bond in the films it would be cool if they had him help during gameplay kinda like allies in Godzilla or team-ups in Deadpool.

Nothing will save it. Drama Queens will persist. I'm just looking forward to flipping the new Stern game, no matter what it is. I prefer to keep life simple when possible.

Yeah that was cool that they gave him some exended continuity in the Craig Bond films with Jeffrey Wright.

My favorite Felix was David Hedison. He got to play Felix in first Moore Bond film (Live and Let Die) and then in the last Dalton film (License To Kill).

Disagree. They suck mostly. Mothera and Billanete and not worth the time. The Gamera films are much better fro from this era....and the American version of Godzilla (54) is better.
