It’s perfectly acceptable to identify something like that and to call it out as having aged poorly without the scene making Bond as a whole unacceptable. That would be just plain nuts in my opinion unless they made something like a Dahmer pinball machine.
I’d guess that you’re old enough to have listened to Eddie Murphy “delirious” when it came out? My brother and I were young but he bought a copy and we laughed our asses off with every listen. I’d be embarrassed to have some friends listen to that recording and think that I still found it funny, today though. So I don’t consider myself any better than the Bond director or writer or whoever made that scene.
Are you comparing Daimler to a fictional character??
