Guy T-shirt make me mad!
Quoted from grantopia:He started that in like 2014...so 8 years ago? Are you sureeeeeee The Shadow didn't double in price because it's one of the best 90s DMDs and it was pretty cheap (relatively) until a few years ago and people are recently realizing it's great?
Or because the translate is really ugly and it's not just the fact it's Baldwin anyway?
Quoted from bobukcat:Or because the translate is really ugly and it's not just the fact it's Baldwin anyway?
Well yeah, it sucks, but if you think making a new translite causes a games price to double, including versions of the game without it, then...I guess you can think that and clearly I'm not going to be the one to convince you otherwise...glad we resolved the Shadow mystery. I'm open to buying all Shadows with original translites at 2014 prices...let the offers roll in!
Back on topic, the wait until Tuesday is going to suck. But, that is the norm from the last few releases, I even went back like a dork to check....teaser Tuesday, then official trailer the next Tuesday.
Quoted from m00nmuppet:It sounded like Gomez was all-in on Connery being HIS Bond spirit animal. Certainly felt like it's going to be a parallel of Batman '66, which focused on one specific Batman and era. Or the way GZ sticks with one iteration of Godzilla. Gives the theme a nice unity with the assets and tone.
Connery is his guy but he did make some comments that it may have more than just his stuff. All the Villains and he understands many like Moore, Brosnan and Craig. You could interpret that many ways but at a minimum it’s will be multiple Connery movies if not all of them.
Quoted from sanctumwear:One of Gary Sterns design requirements is all their games need to have a manual shooter rod.
Gary also said each game shall have 3 pop bumpers. That eventually didn’t last.

Crazy thought here but has anyone done a game wit no pops but some other mech to move ball around. Say a magnet field that takes up less space and allows for additional ramps/lane or mechs?
None come to mind

Shadow mini playfield top left?
Sorry but I’m a sucker for pops. I just love them.
I’m also pumped for this game. It’s not just a new stern. It’s not just a bond game (which is amazing in itself) BUT it’s a FU to JJP from George to say you might have stolen the man, but stern still has the pinball people want. This is a revenge game from stern. You can see the visceral reaction from George - telling people he scrapped Steve’s game. No need to mention that but they want to ensure you know!
And JJP just left the door open by releasing a game based on toys that has none and charged more for it - fooling no one except SDTM (although they’re not fooled either - just no choice b/c sitting on a ton of stock and they need to sell it). Zach has a family - I get it. But it must suck to be such a shill - kissing the ring. Damn.
My bar is high and I expect this game to bring it. In for a LE.
There will no doubt be a martini somewhere on a plastic, playfield or back glass ; “ shaken not stirred “ will be cause for a tilt warning!

ACNC has no pop bumpers and a magnet ball save that throws the ball back up the playfield
Anybody think there's some subtext to Gomez saying "all your favorite villains will be there"? Meaning, they could be taking the approach that YOU are Bond and you'll encounter a big variety of villains from the series, but they're not committing to a single Bond actor (and the licensing fees that would come with it). Honestly, if so, that's a fine idea to me, since it's clear that if you choose one Bond actor, you'll disappoint 75% of the market who thinks a different actor is the best one.

I think the subtext is that he’s saying all of our favorite bond Villains will be in the game.
Quoted from Budman:There will no doubt be a martini somewhere on a plastic, playfield or back glass ; “ shaken not stirred “ will be cause for a tilt warning!
What if the tilt Bob was a martini, on the playfield, and if you spilled( self contained of course) it tilted?
Quoted from CrazyLevi:I think the subtext is that he’s saying all of our favorite bond Villains will be in the game.
That's a bold opinion, but I think you might be right.
While I agree with your second point, I’ve never seen anyone ever accuse Jack of having an ego issue.
He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever just walked up to and met.
I wonder if some of his passion and humor come off that way? Because following him on social media he seems to put a lot of stress on himself to delivery and it’s definitely not over confidence to me.
Just my $0.02. I also prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt because pinball isn’t a fun hobby not to be taken too seriously.

Quoted from Hayfarmer:So le's are only 100 made, or sle 100 made?
I doubt only 100LE’s that would be a big amount of $ left on the table.
Probably 1000LE’s and 100 SLE’s
Or they made a deal to get all their LEs (out of maybe 1k?) in low serial numbers. However many that may be
Quoted from Hayfarmer:So le's are only 100 made, or sle 100 made?
Im guessing 100 will be sold direct and those will be numbered 1-100
Quoted from cooked71:No mention of SLE there. Maybe your distributor reserved numbers 1-100?
I am thinking 2 types of LEs. Maybe 1000 of one type and 60 of another with 2 different prices.
Quoted from pinballaddicted:I am thinking 2 types of LEs. Maybe 1000 of one type and 60 of another with 2 different prices.
That would be stupid.
Quoted from Indusguys:That would be stupid.
Why? Sounds like a great way for a business to make some extra money off some Richie Rich's and in return they get to feel special.

2 types of LE’s doesn’t warrant 2 different prices and where does the number 60 come from?
Quoted from Mttw:This is what I was sent today.

Before we get all worked up, I wouldn’t lend much credibility to this text from Aminis. I pinged/texted them asking about LE availability and immediately got a sales guy calling me on my cell with a “wait there’s more” old school sales pitch. Keep in mind it’s 9:30pm here in NJ.
To simplify, let me share the crux of the pitch - unlike other distributors they offer a 2 year extended warranty and an in-house (v. Curbside) delivery - no stairs, just in-house. And I could get on the LE list for $16K, with 50% down. He was ready to take my deposit over the phone.
When I asked how much this price represents over MSRP, he couldn’t tell me. He literally pretended to go to the Stern website looking for MSRP and told me everything showed as sold out. According to the sales guy, all “available LE’s from Stern are sold out.” He told me he’d call his sales manager and get back to me.
Appears to be a legit company, but this sales pitch is clearly targeted at newbies who don’t understand the market. Yeah, I’m a newbie but I’m not stupid.
Just wanted to throw this out there as I’m sure we’re all hungry for detail. Clearly, this company should NOT be relied upon for insider insight (or as fodder for speculation on the number of LE’s)
Still looking to secure an LE spot - I guess I’ll keep searching.
I think it is all BS from the Aminis sales guy. Most of it could be made up form what is already known.
Gomez once said in an interview (the movie Tilt), about the Williams/Bally days, "When you own 80% of the market, the competition isn't down the street, the competition is down the hall." (Lawlor, Ritchie, Eddy, etc.) That's what has me excited, designers at Stern raising their game because of the new blood down the hall (Elwin, Eddy v2)
Quoted from swinks:60 would equal 60 year anniversary of bond
maybe the 100 = 100 Sean Connery versions ???
I was thinking that less than 100 gives Stern the option of how many to make..
Plenty of options with this title.
Fingers crossed for some low quality JPEGS from an international press release to guess at what's in the game. At this point if I was stern I'd leak something like that intentionally to add even more fuel to the fire. The Mando photo leaks caused mayhem (not really, but you know) for everyone trying to guess what Grogu did.
I guess that backfired since expectations werent met but if I know i brought a banger I'd want folks trying to guess at what all is going on.
Quoted from Billygrippo:Isn’t the LE just extra fancy trim and such??
Mirrored backglass, shaker, art blades, invisiglass, powdercoat, better speakers. And that special plaque that makes people crazy, me included on this title
Amini’s has the worst prices and scummiest sales tactics of any distributor. They are somewhat local to me and I’ve heard so many stories…
Quoted from mbrave77:I love mirrored backglass so much. Best part of the LE. Really wish we could buy it as an accessory
I dont realize how nice they are until I look at my metallica pro next to gz and rush. . Still a great translight, but just not the same.
DO NOT buy from Amini’s. They have been screwing customers since pinflatuon started after 2020. Let them fade out from existence from their own greed.
You love Mirrored back glasses ?? Buy a Sorcerer, its gorgeous, great game, great sounds, one one Mark Richie's best.
Only his LEs will be under the number hundred. 1k LEs in total. 60 sle like elvira. All corner stones have pros. My guess on prices are as followed. 7199 pros, 9599 premium, 11999 LE, if super le 16999 to 19999.
I posted this in another thread so thought to post it here:
Since Gomez mentioned multiple villains it would be cool if the game is Bond v's S.P.E.C.T.R.E and you the player is James Bond and you have to defeat 8 villains (1 for each tentacle) and then head of the organisation.
Even though characters like Jaws may not have fallen under an organisation it could be a cool way to link all the best villains in one game.

Buying a Stern SLE is like throwing your wallet in the sewer.
Quoted from Black_Knight:Why? Godzilla was old Godzilla, not the new Godzilla.
A Daniel Craig pin would date as soon as a new actor was announced and he's too recent to be considered 'retro'.
Connery or Moore were the obvious choices because the films are so old they won't date (if that makes sense?).
