So some say that nothing is ever really bolted down, eventually you'll get bored of them and want to move on. I think it's harder for us with small collections (1 to 5 pins). Larger collections make it easier to not get bored.

Metallica is my only keeper, we'll never sell it unless to upgrade to a Premium/LE. My wife won't let me sell it and after 1.5 years it still hasn't gotten old. Still hunting for a pin #2 that will also become a keeper.

Name the pins that will never leave your collection.

My grail pin that will never leave my house is STTNG. I love mode based games, the shots feel amazing, and the theme integration is second to none.

To me, the magic found in the 90s Bally/Williams games has not been replicated by modern pinball.

I had such a nice STTNG, but sold it. Regret is somewhat, but it's the curse of only having the money/space for no more than 2 or 3 pins. The only way we could try something new was to sell it. It is a great pin.

    1977 Gottlieb Centigrade 37
    1981 Bally Eight Ball Deluxe

    Both nicely restored.

I knew someone would do that. This is a forum, it's fun to start new threads.

    Agree !

    #12 5 years ago

This is a good reference thread, you can go through and see how many people ended up selling their games that were supposedly bolted to the ground.

    #13 5 years ago

    Big Game
    Dipsy Doodle
    Grand Prix
    Jungle Queen

    #14 5 years ago

For me it would be my BK

    #15 5 years ago

    Lord of the rings

    #16 5 years ago

    Hardbody

Yea, I was thinking about that. That would be interesting to look at. People sometimes really love a pin and talk it up as the greatest game then it leaves their collection. I always wonder why they eventually sold it. I wish I still had every pin I've purchased and sold, I only really sold to try something else.

IMDN Premium is bolted for sure

TWD Pro and GB Premium are probably bolted

    Tron and Robo-War.

    Tron and Robo-War.

I really want a Tron. Hope they do a vault someday, that has the potential to become a keeper for me.

    #21 5 years ago

TOM and Tron I guess. Maybe my El Dorado as well. Simple, yet really fun games. Almost sold my TOM twice and glad I didn’t.

Met has been with me the longest but I don’t see keeping it forever.

    GOT
    LOTR
    WCS
    TAF
    WOZ
    FGY
    STLE
    SMVE

These are all games i deemed 'bolted to the floor' and 'will never sell'

They are no longer in my current collection.

    Welcome to the hobby....

    #23 5 years ago

I'd have a hard time selling any of mine, but there are no true keepers in my small collection. I always feel the need to mix things up.

    Restored Whirlwind

    #25 5 years ago

    MMr Gold LE.
I'm actually down to just it an an EM right now. MM is the one pin I always wanted. Started in this hobby to one day have a MM. I usually have 6 pins.
Recently sold off everything else. And now it's time to be super picky about what games I get next.
I'm waiting for something new that will blow me away. There are a select few classic games I'm on the hunt for though.

    #26 5 years ago

Mine would be my quick draw..it’s cleaner then my undergarments..

Congo, Twilight Zone and Walking Dead

That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Just ask me next year and I promise it changes.

My thought process is- I have so little money in them, might as well keep-
    Gottlieb soccer
    Abra Ca Dabra
    Getaway
    Top score

    #33 5 years ago

    Tron LE

    IJ HEP
    TWD LE
    Alien LE
    AC/DC LE
    TZ
    WH20 HEP

    #34 5 years ago

BSD is the only one I can say that about with any certainty (even if I went off the deep-end and left the hobby, I doubt I'd want to let BSD go).

    #35 5 years ago

My jjp games are bolted. My acdc and Metallica are strongly glued. Considering parting ways with either stern, but just can't let em go.

    #36 5 years ago

#tales-from-the-crypt is staying. The Simpsons Pinball Party likely staying unless I can beat it.

    #37 5 years ago

Most of my current collection that's at home, honestly. But, for a fact DW, WW, BSD and TZ will never, ever leave.

    #38 5 years ago

    Currently, almost my entire collection..

    DILE
    TH
    Houdini
    MB(original)
    TZ

(I am considering moving on from IMDN... it just pisses me off)

    #39 5 years ago

Never say never, but I can’t see my Met prem or Stle leaving anytime soon.

    #40 5 years ago

The last pin standing would be my Scared Stiff.

    #41 5 years ago

I can't say never but don't see selling TZ or MET. Never seem to get tired of playing those but maybe one day I will.

    #42 5 years ago

Austin powers. Cuz when Mr. Bigglesworth gets angry people DIE!!!

    #43 5 years ago

    Big Top 1964 Gottlieb EM
    Hobbit.

My first restore and my first nib. Too sentimental.
