Well after months of looking, I think I have finally found the game I have been looking for. I have to drive 6 hours one way to get it tomorrow, but if that's what it takes, I'm in.

    I'll keep ya posted..........

    #2 6 years ago

Good luck and enjoy the road trip!

    #3 6 years ago

Thanks! I hope I make it. Is it crazy to drive that far for a pin??

6 hours one way? That’s nothing haha. I’d do that in a heartbeat.

    #5 6 years ago

    Star Wars?

    #6 6 years ago

Yeah one way, no not Star Wars

    #7 6 years ago

Does it have STAR in the title...

    #8 6 years ago

    Maybe.........

    #9 6 years ago

Don't get super excited if it's a Black Hole; it does NOT have the soundtrack from the movie.

    #10 6 years ago

Hmmm maybe a Bally machine, circa '79.

    #11 6 years ago

    Star Trek The Next Gen?

Pretty sure it's Stern Star Trek Premium, or Space Station.

    #13 6 years ago

I'll post pictures when I get it unloaded.

    #14 6 years ago

    #17 6 years ago

    #24 6 years ago

Nothing like driving home with that pinball grin for 6 hrs! Good luck and enjoy!

    #25 6 years ago

Man I can't get anything passed you guys. You all should be private investigators. I'll get some pictures on here tomorrow.

Well it was the ONLY game on your wish list.

Glad to hear you were successful in getting it though!

    #27 6 years ago

Yeah 813 mile round trip. I must be crazy, but had a good time. The game has some good, some bad, and some ugly to it, so we'll see.

Should be a fun project. Really looking forward to tearing into it. I will definitely have some questions about some of the stuff, if you guys don't mind helping me out.

    #28 6 years ago

The chase to get pins is part of the fun.

    #29 6 years ago

Ok well here is some of the bad stuff.............

Ouch...but hey on the good side it was a long trip, but obviously didn;t cost more than $100 so no big deal

    #31 6 years ago

Wow, pretty rough, but if its your grail pin, it's worth it.

    #35 6 years ago

I'm pretty sure that's the same Star Trek from that big pinball auction a few weeks ago. Seems like the same wear anyways.

    #36 6 years ago

That particular game has got to be a candidate for THE most worn out playfields of all time.
    No offense, just sayin'...

None taken. I was thinking some Novus 2 and a little elbow grease would do wonders to it.

There are a few good things about the game....the back glass is real nice

Hell yeah. Just keep your eye peeled for a new playfield. They are out there. I think cpr did these not too long ago.

Then get to work on the connectors and boards and this should turn out great.

    #39 6 years ago

And you paid how much for it ?

    #40 6 years ago

Yes, the glass is very nice.

    Quoted from TenaciousT:

And you paid how much for it ?

And yes, the answer we all want to know...

    #41 6 years ago

Love how McCoy looks like he’s a weightlifter on this backglass.

The grail pin is a blown out pin? Shirley you could've found one in this condition closer than a 12 hour drive?

Man I search every Craigslist post looking and I found this one. There was another one in New York but that would have been a 16 hr drive one way.

There is more good stuff I just final got pictures of it. Made it more worthwhile to make the drive.

I like that little sneaky with holding back the CPR playfield!!! What a great mystery surprise...like one of those Dateline stories with a little twist at the end...congrats on the grail pin! Can’t wait to see pics of it restored.

    Thanks for the encouraging words.

I have started tearing into a little bit. Torn the coin door apart and cleaned it all up. Still waiting on my Alltec board to get here, so I can see if it at least will fire up. Should be here tomorrow.

Checked all the voltages at the rectifier and everything looks good there. So my fingers are crossed, and am hoping for good things tomorrow. I'll keep ya posted.

pictures, pictures and more pictures. I can't suggest that enough, they will be vital when it comes time for re-assembly.

Good luck and eagerly watching this thread for your progress.
