Guess I will start this and see what comes of it. I would like to start by saying that there is no best two days for me. I have taken great care with my boat and treat it like others treat their cars, hot rods, watches, pinball machines. I have had and will always continue to have fun on it. So I will post some pics and see what happens with this thread. And as always questions are welcomed.

I was thinking about a jet ski this year but POTC takes that out of the equation!
Wife loves the water as much as I do. And she will not take my boat out because she is afraid of something happening to it. So she has her own 18 ft pontoon boat. We also have two kayaks and a paddle board and a 5 ft by 8 ft dock shed full of equipment!!!!!!!

Gotta love a nice Nautique! It was a tough decesion when I started the boat hunt. Between a Mastercraft and Nautique, Both have great qualities and the mastercraft is a deeper hull and engine is easier to access. But I still love the wake on my 210 super air!!!! Not so good for wake surfing though!

When the wife buys a pontoon boat hers takes priority! So I have not got mine out yet
Plus side is we have two slips now. So that cuts back on the stress! Happy Wife you know!!!!!!

Mine cost me a grand a couple years back. Fuel water separator and hi, low pumps were out of it. Do to the mid grade gas I put in it that was basically 75% water!

#51 5 years ago

Especially that one!!! Boats these days have heavy price tags! But taken care of can bring years of happiness.
As well as pinball machines!!!

#54 5 years ago

Yuuuup! My favorite rider to this day is still Parks Bonifay!

Tryed for a jet ski this year but she gave me the choice of potc of jet ski.

Yep me too and wish I would have been able to start sooner. My toe side 180 is nice but heel side is still ugly my front roll is coming along nicely. More smooth on landing that is!! Helps a lot if you don't land on the wake on your back

#67 5 years ago

Sweet pic!!! Yes I think I will stick to the low key tricks myself as I am almost 42 and not indestructible anymore!

That is truly incredible! I would love to take a trip like that. There really is a lot to learn when being a captain of a yacht! When we went looking for the wife's pontoon boat, we went to a boat dealer on the Illinois river in marion, IL. The gentleman we talked to explained the Great loop through America. He said he had done many trips this way. It is amazing to learn about this type of water travel. Maybe one day we will be able to do a boat trip like this. I love the big yachts, they really are amazing!

Well I am out for a couple weeks. Landed on the wake last week, body went one way, knee went the other way!

#116 4 years ago

I can see I am going to have to make a trip out your way!!!!

#119 4 years ago

That looks a 03 or 04 210?

#121 4 years ago

Yeah, They finally decided to go with a deeper hull. When I first started looking for a boat I got down to either Nautique or Master Craft. Really like the MC it is a great boat to. But the wake on the Nautique is amazing!! I myself love the sundeck my 210 Team get's the job done!!!

My dog would do the same. He loves the water and snow. Sometimes I think he likes snow better but that’s because he is a mommas boy. And she is die hard snowboarding!

Anyone else getting the summer time bug?

#135 4 years ago
Quoted from jorge5240:

boating license

Don't really know about a boater's license. But we have to have stickers for both state and the local lake I live on. Although I would not be surprised to see something like this come to Illinois.

#142 4 years ago

I am pretty good with my cleat hitch knot!

#144 4 years ago

If I ever hit the lottery this will be mine!! Love my Nautique but I do like the tower on the mastercraft better. Wake really does not matter as both boats put out a huge wake anyway!!

Quoted from Sputnik:

just wake boats

I always try to be respectful to other boaters and fisherman. Esp fisherman since the like to troll the edges and I know my wake pushes them into the shore. Our lake is big enough to go to other places and not disturb them as well as giving space to speed boats and tubers. My main problem is the tubers come and rip up the good water instead of going to the bigger part of the lake and tubing there.

Quoted from Sputnik:

In a 600 pound boat with 300+ horsepower an unseen wake will put you airborne.

It's like skipping a rock with a sling shot

I will also be back on the wakeboard in another week as last year in june I tore my medial and lateral meniscus and partial acl.

Yes the season for boating has arrived! If I can get my wall project done this year maybe I can get back to work on completing a tantrum wakeboard trick!
And yes I am building trumps wall in my back yard!
Was a useless hill and now it gives me 10ft by 54ft of more nice yard!

Some of the best times are watching people pull out after the fireworks. I always say if you want a good show just grab a 6 pack and watch the docks after fireworks!

Been off pinside for awhile, doing the catch up game! But as the season has ended my boat is out of water and in the shop being fixed and winterized. If anyone owned a 2002 to 2007 Nautique they would understand my pain! I was surprised to learn that they ran water(speedo tubes) through a electrical box. That just sounds bad in all kinds of way's. So, 4 grand later I will have my awesome wake board boat back and waiting for next season!

Was on a little hiatus building The great wall of Joe. Glad to see everyone getting out and about on the water! I finally got my new lift installed and wired up so me and wifes now match. Thinking aluminum loc in decking next year.
Plus I finally can get back to finishing my F-14 restoration.
