Hello all. New to the thread. I have been boating for 25 plus years and it is a great family time for us. We do a 2 week trip every year in the Great Lakes. Last year we took it up into Canada. WOW. It is beautiful up in the north channel. I will post some pics later of our trip but for now just wanted to say hello.

When we went looking for the wife's pontoon boat, we went to a boat dealer on the Illinois river in marion, IL. The gentleman we talked to explained the Great loop through America. He said he had done many trips this way. It is amazing to learn about this type of water travel. Maybe one day we will be able to do a boat trip like this. I love the big yachts, they really are amazing!

Two years ago I have went from New York to Milwaukee just like your map shows. It was awesome. My wife and I will be doing the great loop in about 10 years we are hoping. We both love being on the water.
Is there any boaters here that boat in Lake Michigan? Looks like my boat is going in on April 22nd. Can't wait.

LOL. Thanks. We took it down the Milwuakee river this Saturday for lunch as they were calling for a snow storm here . We ended up getting less than a inch by the lake.

. We took our boat from Milwaukee, WI to lower MI for a 10 day boating trip and hit 5 different ports. In this port we went to take the dogs out when we got there and they thought this was grass and both jump right in the water with algae on top. It was hilarious.

Our new boat is 50’. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We were also members of MYC. It was a great place with the pool for the kids. Are you still in Milwaukee and boating?

What I remember most about the MYC was the people and the social scene. Lots of great people with over the top personalities. I would love to someday buy a yacht and spend some summers there. Walking down the docks in the morning sunrise, taking the dog to the park and having breakfast at MYC. Great memories-your children are fortunate to experience boating. I love your new yacht, it really has a classy looking exterior and the interior is stunning.

You do not need a captain license. They let even people like me drive on the water with these big things

Weather was great and had some good family time. Yesterday was our 19 year anniversary. Sooo blessed that she put up with me all those years. . Hope everyone is having a great summer.
