just wake boats

I always try to be respectful to other boaters and fisherman. Esp fisherman since the like to troll the edges and I know my wake pushes them into the shore. Our lake is big enough to go to other places and not disturb them as well as giving space to speed boats and tubers. My main problem is the tubers come and rip up the good water instead of going to the bigger part of the lake and tubing there.

In Wisconsin you need a boater safety certificate if you’re born after ‘89. Kids can’t solo until 16 in a boat, but can solo on a PWC at 12, which makes no sense to me.

I’ve been boating since about 10 and could start Grandpa’s old Evinrude outboard. Here’s my Grandson going out solo for the first time in our Regal 185. We’ve had it for 17 years and it’s never let us down. Own a pontoon and 14’ fishing boat too. Can’t wait for spring and more good times!

I was raised on the west coast of Florida, on an island. All of us (kids) had
boats of all sorts. We practically lived on the water skiing, fishing and sailing.
Both in the inland water ways and way out in the Gulf.

My favorite boat? A one man kayak (the older sit-in kind). No fooling with
gas, engines or the associated noise of stink. Close behind would be a small
sailboat like the Sunfish. Still have a couple kayaks and occasionally my
wife and I will take them out to a lake.

I did not mean anything against wake boats. In a 600 pound boat with 300+ horsepower an unseen wake will put you airborne.

Sling shot is accurate. 1/4 mile in the high 10 seconds.

Any of you pinheads ever look at the Concept CC? I have been putting some thought in one of them lately.

I have never trolled with artificial bait, just going to goof off and experiment, if anything happens I will post pics later.

That is a fantastic boat. See plenty of them around. I would jump all up and down on one.

BMore-Pinball post made me realized I had not posted a pic of the final dock construction. Permitting took over a year. Due to restrictions, I could not go out far, but was able to go out horizontal. Dredged with a 20,000 pound lift. Still might need to do a few adjustments but we are getting there. Just sewed grass on the hill up to the house, so come next spring we should be in great shape.

Boat market is on fire or Atleast has been. My friend sold a Malibu after a year of use for 20k more than he paid for it.

I have had three friends sell their boats in the last month. Used market it too hot. I thought of selling mine and upgrading but still to mix uncertainty right now. But now is a good time for sellers.

It is crazy here as well. Place I bought my boat from called me up with a heckuva an offer, but the price of new boats of similar size have skyrocketed. Roughly, the cost of a new Nautique or Mastercraft more than I paid. Plus, I got a great deal on mine when we had it built, so the delta is just too great to try and make up.

Grew up enjoying most summers at the Milwaukee Yacht Club on my Grandfathers Bayliner. Really fun experience as a kid, I have lots of fond memories including some great concerts at Summer Fest-Oh those were the days. I love your new 'Yacht'(looks bigger than 33 ft?). I would love to see some pics of the inside. Looks like a ton of fun, we are currently looking for an open bow 17-21' ski boat for the family.

Our new boat is 50’. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We were also members of MYC. It was a great place with the pool for the kids. Are you still in Milwaukee and boating?

No I am now land locked and enjoy boating at a lake in Nebraska. What I remember most about the MYC was the people and the social scene. Lots of great people with over the top personalities. I would love to someday buy a yacht and spend some summers there. Walking down the docks in the morning sunrise, taking the dog to the park and having breakfast at MYC. Great memories-your children are fortunate to experience boating. I love your new yacht, it really has a classy looking exterior and the interior is stunning.

I’m officially old - so I’m looking for a decent pontoon to replace our family ski boat. Like you said, nothing available. One popped up for sale by owner about 50 miles away. I got 2 year old pictures. The boat is in his boat dealer’s storage warehouse so buried that we couldn’t get in to see it. The dealer had done the maintenance on the boat. Based on the pictures, the owner’s word, and maintenance records, I bought it. I was lucky. I was the first to respond to his ad. When we signed papers, he showed me his phone. There were over 40 messages in one day, several offering to buy the boat without seeing it.

I’ll see what I bought around April 1st to 15th when the boats start moving out to get ready for the season.

The boat, a 22ft Premier Pontoon with a 90hp Honda outboard and trailer.

Premier is a great boat, Ive owned 2.
That honda is a very good motor too, you will be happy.
Last Premier I had was a 250 grand majestic with 2018 Merc 60hp.
Im on the water 3 or 4 times a week, never had to take gas down to the boat.
So much to be said about a nice quiet 4 stroke.
