Well the problem the op is describing seems to be a memory circuit issue when the game is turned off it isnt retaining the settings by any chance did you check if the ics are all firmly pressed in or the batteries youre using are any good?.

I have dealt with ed for some time hes a great guy everything ive dealt with hes been great and a very helpful guy I agree ok maybe their was a problem with a repair but sounds like he said send it back and knowing ed if he overlooked or didnt fix something correct he would have made it right in the end but slandering his name out of anger is just petty.
