Slap Shot
Data East, 1989Is anyone out there able to fix an MPU for me from a Data East Slap Shot? I can't find any replacements, it isn't a typical system board. I got the game from somebody but when I received it, it wouldn't boot. I have no schematic. All I've been able to do is confirm that the MPU is the issue. This thing is just a big expensive paperweight until I resolve this board issue.

Sorry to hear that you are stuck. I was in the same boat with my super chexx using super kixx boards, so I bought a working super kixx... Hope you get this fixed though, Slap shot is on my hit list to get and the more knowledge teh best.

He has done one MPU repair for me and he has my Whirlwind MPU now.
