Who's currently the best option for board repair? I'm looking for a nice balance of price, turnaround time and quality. This would be for a system 9 MPU.

barakandl posts intelligent answers here on the forums, and seems like a good board guy.

    Clive at Coinopcauldrin.

I'll second Barakandl. I just sent all of my Elektra boards to him and he just did my Flash boards.
Good price, good turnaround, great return packaging.
He gives out free advice too on Pinside.

John Wart is excellent. Quick turn time and excellent service. He has repaired several boards for me, all have been quick and work as they should. He backs his work.

I think all the top names listed are great candidates for using. I personally have just had Clive work on all my boards over the years and he does great work. I keep sending them to him as I am familiar and like his work. He has called me many times and given honest answers etc. I think if you pick any of the person's listed, you will have a good experience.

    Quoted from Freeplay40:

Vote for Ed Cheung for System 9's

Ed worked on my Space Shuttle and it was returned within a week. Total was $191 + shipping which is pricey, but his work was great. Highly recommended.

You've got good, reliable choices as evident by this thread.

If you've got a favorite repair guy, send it his way.

If you don't, and you are interested, I'd be glad to discuss it with you. Drop me a line.

Chris Hibler should be on the list also. Good work at fair prices.

While i can fix sys 9 and 11 i dont really take them in for repair. I focus on repairs for early Bally / Stern and WMS 3-7. I am very familiar and setup well to test / fix about anything wrong with those board sets. Whenever i touch a board i typically do a very thorough rebuild for a flat cost.

Kris @ firebird pinball does great work.

I have to put in a plug for Chris Hibler as well. Great communication.
