Quoted from iceman44:

I counted 4 GBLEs for sale
And I see Zero BM66LEs for sale. I guess owners hate it so much they must just prefer to burn it down instead of going through the trouble of selling it

Don't want to loose their a$$. My guess is they are sitting on them hoping the code gets good enough for them to even charge 8K.

Quoted from iceman44:

Drop the mic. Boom boom.
Music, theme, immersion, art, callouts, LCD integration, code coming.
In Lyman we trust!!!

What did you expect him to say about a game that he designed?

#297 7 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

100% on price, for now.
I played it a good bit last night. Despite code status its still fun to flip and play.
Sitting right next to GBLE and TWDLE, its a gorgeous pin.
When it gets done the Lyman way, for the "collectors", the LE and SLE will be quite desirable. 120 and 40 in the USA respectively.

Not this collector.

Quoted from iceman44:

Gomez didn't have to say anything really.

He also didn't have to say code updates almost every two weeks until it is done, but he did and that hasn't worked out so well.

#310 7 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

I'm sure he wishes he could take that back.
We will be getting real "honest" with the next code drop. Maybe this week

We will see. I hope for those that have the game that code starts maturing much faster, and that includes you as well Ice.

Quoted from iceman44:

Even if it turns out to be great, so is ST or xyz for a lot less.
The difference is there is 240 versus 800 Star Trek LEs
And versus an absurd 2500 LE run of DI
I think they all drop a bit in the future

Ice the other problem going for the BM66 LE is that there is nothing LE to it beyond that number. Minus that it is just a premium, and that is actually being generous IMO, with a low production run.

#336 7 years ago
Quoted from docquest:

Well the LE (and SLE) get one of the coolest looking (my opinion) toppers yet.

That is a hella expensive topper.

#345 7 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

And that's how they shook out the flippers this time.
A GBLE was flipping for $9k-$10k at the beginning. Cost of $8k
When Stern priced BM66 they tried to extract the flipper profit for themselves and still blow out the numbers. They did.
A lot of the price outrage stems from the fact that there wasn't much of a flip opportunity for most, for some yes.
A lot of those people are only on the Star Wars LE list hoping to get a short term flip.
That was the same thing with RZ, if you didn't flip it fast enough you were the bag holder. It seems like that pin has had 100% turnover rate with dropping prices.

You think everyone that bought a RZ has flipped it?

And prices are pretty stable around the 6k mark.

#357 7 years ago
Quoted from Shapeshifter:

And RZ has a real backglass!
I am astonished that BM66 and especially the SLE has a translite. That is very poor.
Haven't played BM66 yet so can't comment on gameplay.
As for RZ it is a blast but like other games code is not finished so it will keep getting better.

Yeah and we get info from the coder and he takes suggestions.

I can't praise and commend Spooky enough for their communication.

All you haters keep talking it down because you want one.

Thanks for the morning laugh.

Quoted from cody_chunn:

Isn't BM66 just a re-skinned BMDK? The discussion is like it's something new...I don't get it, Big Dan.

You will get mixed opinions on this one. The so called "haters" will say yes. The Stern Avengers will so no that the rotisserie and, I believe, an extra ramp shot makes it a different game or something to that effect. However, for the most part the layout draws heavily from BMDK including the major toy from the game, the crane.

Quoted from Squizz:

Umm Where did I say AS Sucks in my last 3 posts?
I just said that I liked SM66 more.
BTW Addams was not a Richie game -
Larry DeMar, Pat Lawlor
Borg is a much better designer today than Richie sorry mate.

Pretty sure his Addams family comment was in reference to you bash toy comment, however it does have the bookshelf.

#445 6 years ago
Quoted from Squizz:

Yes true - Bookshelf

Difference being it isn't big and clunky.

#447 6 years ago
Quoted from Trekkie1978:

Batman 66 will probably only outsell Wrestlemania...After all, Batman was not a high production game.

No limit on Premium model. So technically if there was that big of demand it could sell as many as people wanted.

#449 6 years ago
Quoted from Squizz:

Nor is BM66 big and clunky.
Just need to hit your shots, a bit like TWD.
A lot posted earlier in the day about TWD being clunky also, but I don't see it.
Some games suit certain players style better than others I guess.

Sorry but the turn table is very much clunky at this point in game development. Not sure if code will ever be able to sort out that aspect of it, but we will see.

BM66 scores a whopping 4 out of 10 in Buffalo Pinball's latest review:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLxv7Si8AfIM_uwMNdrpmkx0T1Z46UhTFr&v=nHo_-imkiBQ
LOTS of room for improvement apparently - yikes!

They are just jealous haters.

#529 6 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Nah, I know Yo Pauly and his band of naysayers are just "jealous haters", and who the F is Buffalo Pinball
You are right though, a LONG ways to go before you can really judge it. It's on the road to being great, Lyman will make it happen.

Just calling it like it is. If it gets better my tone will change but until then, I will keep it real.
