For my STTNG, I have the chrome flippers from Pinball Life and rather like the look. A friend of mine is adamant that they don't feel like the original Williams ones though. Granted, that could be his excuse for why he can't get a good score

The actual originals I had were yellowed and even cracked in places. But I do recall them maybe being /slightly/ more rigid. Anyone have any suggestions on non-standard flippers that are closest to the original Williams? I just don't want plain off-white flippers after all the work I spent on making things look nice.

Oh hmm I hadn't thought about the rubber. It's regular black rubber from BAA and feels like the red, but I didn't really take a close look or anything.

The flippers were recently fully rebuilt and they performance was notable. I think I had the Williams flippers on there after the rebuild for a while so I don't think that may be it, though I can take another look. There isn't any slipping with the shaft or anything like that (flippers go back to the same resting position).

The chromed bats seem to be built very similarly to the Williams I had. The translucent flippers I had prior to that were a bit more flimsy I thought so my friend may have had a point there (I didn't notice any ill effects though - I replaced them just because they were a bit too hard to see).

*shrug*
