I've been reading through countless posts about no sound during game play, but works during the test. My problem is that I have absolutely no sound at all. I've put in a good speech board from my fire power and still get nothing. I know that the sound board is good as I went through and changed all the caps, redid 40 pin connector new speech c5 c6 c7 and still nothing, also replaced all scanbee sockets. I'm kind of at a loss. I know someone will say test power to speaker or you need a new fuse or volume pots...but i am not sure. It starts a game everything works as it was completely dead on arrival, but I did all the typical system 6 stuff. What am I missing or should I be looking for becides fuses and connectors? Because I redid all of those. Or is there a specific connector j9 I should be looking at with absolutely no sound even pushing the test button? I've included a picture of my sound boards in case that helps.

So do a complete swap of the sound d and speech. And leave speech roms in. Okay, I'll do that now.

I ran out of time last night to finish the board swaps. I have not checked the volume control in the cabinet yet. I will try both of those suggestions when I have more time Friday.

? Could you elaborate?

Wow, can't believe I overlooked that, and to think....I have 3 other system 6 games. Perhaps, I'm working to hard and not enough time to work on and play my pins. I can't thank everyone enough for your help. Thank you very much.

Well, I just got home from work and ran right over to the sound board and switched the two plugs and still nothing. I can't believe it didn't work because I've fixed absolutely everything; when I got it, it was totally dead. I just don't understand, I have the correct voltage coming into the board. I don't even get a peep of sound pushing the test button on the sound board. It must be something with the sound board. Perhaps, the rom is bad?
