I am finishing up a blackout which has some newer style flipper components in it already. The coils appear to be original though. The flippers are not too bad but dont play anywhere near as strong as the WPC style i just put on Flash per Vids guide to upgrading flippers. I have some coils kicking around here and was wondering if i can to change out the old sfl-19-400-30-750-DC with either one of these ( i have a pair of each) and if so will they actually be stronger. I looked at the flash coils and they are also sfl-19-400-30-750-DC installed on the wpc assemblies. I also noticed there are two diodes on the newer ones. Any direction would be appreciated.

Thanks!
RB

Thanks Zac. You just saved me a bunch of time. The sfl-19-400-30-750-DC does indeed show as the stock coil as i look it up on marco. I was just looking to get the same type of performamnce gain as I did on flash by swapping in the entire assemblies...without swapping in the entire assemblies. I made a few changes to the switches and springs and think i have adequate power for now. More power is better though. Any ideas on how to achieve that considering the current situation?

Quoted from zacaj:

Modding in extension springs is the only real difference you can make here with the mechs... You won't get a big difference like on flash since Blackout already has newer style mechs compared to the EM ones in flash

Thanks Zac,
Yea i have snipped a complet turn off each end of those cone springs. made a bit of a difference.

Just change everything but the coil. Keep that stock. I just finished a blackout with WPC full assemblies and the game rips.

They're only 40 bucks for the whole thing including the coil on pinball life. That coil in the pic above has ballooned out in the middle like it overheated at some point. Do you happen to have the sku's that you ordered handy?

your flippers are definitely snappier

Eric/Chuck? Which one is it? There is no question that your blackout and my flash flippers are snappier than my blackout flippers. I can make the orbit shot off a controlled flipper shot but barely. Flash I can make with plenty of speed.
