It’s time now to add to the great rock band
List of pinball machines “Black Sabbath”

Can we please make it happen
Now the band is retired let’s do this
    Sooner then later

    The legacy must live on

    #3 6 years ago

    Buy maiden change music!

    2 weeks later
    #4 6 years ago

Hell yeah.......... Stern has delivered on IMDN
I am so stoked to be in the LE crew.

    Soooooo.... next music pin

I was gonna start a new thread,

Thought I would do the right thing and SEARCH first
Thanks rvdv for the kick off.

Yes BLACK SABBATH 100 % would be a super kick ass title

A complex and humorous history , so much going on.

Tony Iommi is definately one of the greatest lead guitar players of all time !

Some awesome tunes to boot !

Ozzy is such a tripper !

Let give the classic rocker a kick ass pinball before he checks out.

I'm down for a Black Sabbath Pinball !

Tracks can be sometimes slow and stoner, but they always build TO EPIC HEIGHTS

Easily a lot of incredible features that can be built into a pin.

A special video located on the tube

Certainly one of my favorite albums !

    Greatest !

    and no its NOT BLS

    its SABBATH !

    Rock on !

    Ando

    Quoted from woody76:

    Way better option than maiden

Well this statement is sheer nonsense but I do agree we need a Sabbath pin. Ozzy years with a taste of Dio (Heaven and Hell/Die Young and 100% needs to include Zero The Hero and for me Trashed from Born again. I'll take strictly Ozzy but via Pin Browser Zero the Hero will make its way into the game. I'm in.

More nonsense but if thats the only way I'll get a Sabbath pin then I'll take.

    Die Young Multiball

    #8 6 years ago

I think Black Sabbath would be a good pin also but im sorry guys, i just dont see it happening. I honestly dont think the interest is there for most people compared to themes like The Beatles, Van Halen etc. i almost think an Ozzy pin would be more likely than Black Sabbath. Id be interested in it but i have my doubts that we will ever see it happen.

    #9 6 years ago

I would personally prefer a Judas Priest pinball..........but this is a Black Sabbath thread

    #10 6 years ago
    Quoted from hoby1:

Sorry, but it just wouldnt be a Sabbath pin then.

    #11 6 years ago
    Quoted from hoby1:

That would make almost zero sense.

I'm willing to allow a few of the Dio songs on there but I think we all know it's Ozzy sabbath that puts meat in the seats!!!

Didn't I hook you up with some free Dio Sabbath / Priest / Motorhead tix back in the day?

    #12 6 years ago
    Quoted from Who-Dey:

Think licensing. Is it easier to work with the entities that own Sabbath rights or entities that own Ozzy rights?
Rob Zombie & Alice Cooper both got pins. The interest in Sabbath or Ozzy is high enough for a run that size. I don't think interest is high enough for Stern.

You did brother ...... it was in August for my birthday. Pretty sure it was in Camden NJ. August 6th 2008 it was the Metal masters tour. And Levi ..... thx again for those!!!

    #14 6 years ago

Black Sabbath is Ozzy/Tony/Geezer/Ward full stop.

The Dio Years while brillant on to themselves is a completely different beast.

Ozzy/Sharon will not allow Dio to be included in a Sabbath pin.

    Quoted from HarryReimer:

I agree but i dont think Ozzy would even have a say. We all know that Sharon rules that roost lol

    #16 6 years ago

Last time I was in New Orleans I stopped in a memmorabila shop in the Quarter...they had a copy of Heaven and Hell signed by Ozzy.

Ozzy was probably drunk or just doesn't care.

    #17 6 years ago
    Quoted from SUPERBEE:

That's a good thing. Sharon is the only reason he's alive.

    Agreed.

    #19 6 years ago

Yes and instead of dying in the middle of making well liked music he is now paraded around like a mental gimp, Thanks Sharon?

    #20 6 years ago

It would be cool to have a kind of lights out mode where the pin goes dark for a few seconds while playing the beginning of The Writ and then it kicks in with something like the last minute or two of Iron Man for multiball.

    1 month later
    #21 5 years ago

    Yeah
The biting the head of the bat mode will be effin awesone !

    No Batman puns okay

Hope a Sabbath game will happen in next few years
It’s proven most rock themes do sell
Maybe Keith can do this justice

    So....................

    I'm gonna call it

50 years GOLD for Sabbath !

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sabbath

    Bring it on Stern !

    #24 5 years ago

Well if Stern is unable to get Sabbath licence

Next best gig will be OZZY !

    So many killer tracks !

Will easily go head to head with ACNC

Check out the Awesome Riffs late in this track

    Effin' EPIC !

Bring on Sabbath or Ozzy please !

    #25 5 years ago

I am a huge Black Sabbath fan and love all of their songs, but I would say Ozzy in his solo years has better music for a pinball machine.

    Oh yeah

    #29 3 years ago

I'd love to see this forum keep moving to wake Stern up and make this happen. It's the perfect music (IMO) for pinball. I'd even be ok with a Iron Maiden reskin.

    #30 3 years ago

Maybe even change the forum title to Stern we want Black Sabbath

    #31 3 years ago

I'm in! Band is ideal for a pin

    #32 3 years ago

100% in. Day 1. But not until Keith finishes POTC

    #33 3 years ago

    20+ songs would be insane.

Someone posted Jack Osbourne was in Chicago not to long ago. Maybe he was checking in with Stern for his Dad? I'm not sure how true that is, but here's to hoping. What else would he be doing in Chicago?

    #34 3 years ago

This would look sooooooo good next to led zeppelin!!

    #35 3 years ago

Potential song list (if I had to guess what they choose, I would bet most of the following tracks would be a lock, if this becomes a reality):

    N.I.B.
    War Pigs
    Paranoid
    Iron Man
    Children of the Grave
    Into the Void
    Supernaut
    Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
    Sabbra Cadabra
    Hole in the Sky
    Symptom of the Universe
    Never Say Die

The opening riffs of Wheels of Confusion would be a good choice for 'game over' tune.

I would love to see the following, but I doubt they'll get selected (unless they decide to go beyond 12 tracks, these would be top choices. (Any of the first four could likely replace Sabbra Cadabra above.)

    Sweet Leaf (unless Stern objects.)
    Tomorrow's Dream
Snowblind (same situation as Sweet Leaf)
    A National Acrobat
Looking for Today (highly doubtful, but it would be so good)
Megalomania (doubtful, but this would make a KILLER multiball track or wizard mode.)
Spiral Architect (another good wizard track.)
All Moving Parts (Gotta have something from Technical Ecstacy)
    Shockwave (please!!!)
    Loner

I highly doubt we will get any tracks from other line ups so I can only dream. It's too bad Sharon makes the call because most of the following are good upbeat Sabbath tracks for pinball:

    Dio Era:
    Neon Knights
    Heaven & Hell
    Die Young
    Turn Up the Night
    Mob Rules
The Sign of the Southern Cross (wizard mode)
    Computer God
    TV Crimes

    Gillan Era: (Born Again)
    Trashed
    Zero the Hero
    Digital Bitch
    Hot Line

    Martin Era:
    Hard Life to Love
    Headless Cross
    Devil & Daughter
    Danger Zone

There are so many others to select. I have no doubt the song list will be good no matter how they do it. Then again, I'm very biased.

    #36 3 years ago

I hope we get a Black Sabbath pin one day. I just added some black Sabbath songs to my iron man using pinball browser. Songs really work really well while playing the game.

    #38 3 years ago

Don’t you think they would do a Ozzy solo pin rather than BS .Just saying Ozzy solo was a way bigger seller than sabbath .I would hope they encorporate both but I doubt it

    #39 3 years ago

Those big tours were called Ozfest not sabbath fest

    #40 3 years ago

No, absolutely not. Sabbath has a lot more to offer imagery wise, not to mention much better musically. Truth is, ozzy’s solo career has not aged nearly as well as the sabbath stuff. There’s his first two albums and that’s pretty much it. The “Osbournes” reality show fame is WAY in the rear view.

I think for Pinball’s classic rock buyer theme demographic, sabbath would be a much better choice than ozzy solo. There’s unquestionably 5 awesome sabbath/ozzy albums and only two classic ozzy solo albums so do the math.

    #41 3 years ago
    Quoted from Kkoss24:

No doubt Ozzy has had a lengthy career but make no mistake, despite all of Sharon's marketing, he is no greater or more important than the other members of that original line up of Sabbath.

Oh I agree .I’d take sabbath over solo Ozzy any day .Just saying I think they would go the solo route for a pin .

    #43 3 years ago

    I hope I’m wrong

    Black Sabbath

    Just sounds way cooler than

    Ozzy Osbourne!

    I hope it happens someday.

Hey just so you know the last couple times I saw ozzy in an arena the place was half full. The last couple times I saw sabbath the places were packed to the gills!!!

I think these days, sabbath really is the biggest draw whether you are talking tours or pinball machines!!!

    #46 3 years ago

Pinball needs another Iron Man multiball!

    #47 3 years ago

YES! But first 4 albums only.
    ONLY.
    Master of Reality wiz mode
So many multiball mode ideas are so easy, game would design itself

    #48 3 years ago

Snowblind multiball - White lights and flashers only. And all coils get 25% more power. For 30 seconds.
    Call me, Gary
    Haha

What!? Henry Rollins, is that you?

'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' is the pinnacle!

Add the Whirlwind fan as a topper and put some coke infront of it to start Snowblind Multiball.
