Looking at one locally never played one but it looks cool. Thoughts???Advice??
It's not a bad pin if you have others in your collection. You will get sick of the video modes after 5 minutes.
Quoted from joekiss:Didn't realize I didn't have that info up.Why does it matter where Im located?
And dont make up some pretend town either
Why would I makeup a town that I live in?? Again I would love an explanation of why it even matters.

Its a mystery to me but some Aholes do it anyway.
I see. Anyway as I originally asked any thought on Black Rose??? Looks like a pretty cool machine. Price?? Anything to watch out for?
Wear around the cannon is the most common issue. Cliffy makes a protecter for it though. Leveling the cannon can be a pain. If the cannon isn't level the ball goes crazy rolling over it, and it contributes to playfield wear. The cabinet is almost always faded. An unfaded cabinet is rare, and a thing of beauty. The one I owned was gorgeous to look at except the kind of ugly backglass.
As far as play goes it has its charms. Non pinball players seemed to like it at my place. The rotating cannon in the playfield is a cool gimmick. Sinking ships is fun and the shot up center can be kind of tough. It got old fairly quickly for me though. Sort of clunky, and not terribly deep. I'm glad I owned it, but not too upset it is gone.
It's a great game. Fun for beginners and the experienced. It may get a little old but what pinball doesn't get old.
If it's a good price, get her. I sold mine for 2200 2 years ago. Miss it.

i would just put down- BFE, which pretty much sums it up
Quoted from tdiddy:where you located?
Again, why would he put where he's located? So you can find the Pinball to buy for yourself? Lame!

I think you are correct katoskave. I'm not saying that it is happening here, but so many times a seller will "hype" a pin, or ask price questions about a pin just before listing it for sale. Nothing wrong with that. Some people realize this, are interested, and therefore ask the location.
Best regards,
Tom

Maybe someone is local to you and would offer to let you come over and play theirs? I know I would if you were close, but who knows where you are. It's just helpful
I think its a great game. Too bad I needed to move mine to make room for Metallica. Already miss it...
Quoted from limelime20:Yes, I say everyone should put where they are located, or NO advise......jmo.

Lolwut?
I miss my Black Rose... My wife misses it more. I think she liked the simple rules. I live the ball screaming out of the cannon on the sword wire form.

Exactly, and mine will never be for sale
I would tell you but without knowing your location....haha...just messing..
It's a fun game, I'd never buy one though (unless it was dirt cheap) as the huge canon plastic right above the flippers is prone to wear, and hard to level perfectly. It can end up totally ruining the game...
Great game once the canon is leveled. Mine had no pf wear and I added the canon cliffy anyway (better to be safe). Mine was sold to make room for Star Trek. Good game. Simple play, but tough combos.
Quoted from joekiss:Got it today!!! Im really liking it so far.
Nice, enjoy! I liked mine quite a bit, but I am a pinsnob now and the cabinet/playfield wasn't nice enough to stay here.
Plus I am really lazy so redoing the cabinet wasn't going to happen.
I have never gotten to play one , but I love the theme and would love to have a shot at one someday !
In Pin-game Journal a few years ago someone restored the red color by using a translucent type paint . Looked great when done . I enjoyed mine when I had it . One of the few I'd buy back.
