Quoted from Da_Topper:

Black Rose, Fish Tales, Dracula, and Doctor Who all had regular size flippers in their proto/sample games. When those games went into production, they came with the lightning bolt shorter flippers. It really made it hard to hit the ramps on BR after that change. If you guys feel the game is too easy with the regular flippers, change the multiball settings. PAPA recently had BR in A qualifying and they had it set where you couldn't get sink ship letters on the side ramp.

I thought the 4 games with lightning flippers were Popeye, Fish Tales, Dracula and Doctor Who.

Quoted from dr_nybble:

My 16 year old son decided to turn his attention back to Black Rose after a long hiatus where he was focussed on Iron Maiden. He crushed it, 9 ships sunk and 750M+ score.
Don't think I am ever going to get close to it. I play way more than him but just don't have whatever he's got!
When we first got the machine it had a Grand Champion score of 129M and it took us a year to beat it.

Do what he did, play IM then switch over to BR. Maybe the magic will happen for you.

Usually it’s the opposite for me. Lightning flipper game to start then crush a regular flipper game afterwards. Reg to ligtning flippers and my games are abysmal. Prob all in my head.

Quoted from Bax1:

Just joined the club a week ago. did a flipper rebuild yesterday and man this game plays crazy fast now. does anyone else have an issue with the whirlpool wire form, having the ball fly off if you do a nice quick shot? not sure if it's due to the flippers being powerful again.

Quoted from dudah:

+1 for team star posts! Love it, the outlanes now feel like other typical WPC era games.

You forgot one in the picture. Light that one up as well.

Quoted from zacaj:

I think BSD still *shipped* with lightning flippers in the US though, right?

I thought there are 5 lightning games.

Black Rose
Dracula
Dr Who
Fish Tales
Popeye
