My BR is also foamless. ^^

Hello btw, I joined the club a year ago. The machine is in overall good shape minus major cabinet fade. The red had been "touched up" with a sharpie by some previous owner.
Thinking about going LED at some point. Other than that, I'm currently working on a Pinsound mix.

I have a question on collecting SINK SHIP letters: Since multiball is quite essential in obtaining them and my Rose is a tough ball draining bitch most of the times (home of the 3 second multiball , I was wondering if there is a setting for a ball saver for during multiball. Couldn't find it in the service menu. Game running L-4 software. Thanks for any input on this guys!

Can someone help me out with dimensions of the original link on the motor? Or know where I can source a new link. I think mine was home made and it's off a little and keeping the cannon from doing the correct rotations.

I've taken a picture from below the cannon and measured the width of the three links. Top one is 27mm, center 35mm and lower 26mm. Hope that helps.

Can you measure the distance from the (assumed ) center of the welding spot to the center of the left hole on the top part? I believe this will most likely be different compared to the factory part. Once I'm home I'll take measurements myself.

Mine is 12.5mm only.
I have rotated my motor to match yours. You can see how the center link in your setup reaches farther out left.

Trying to fix some hacked GI plug issues. Can someone take pics of j120 and j121 for me please?

There you go.

Welcome aboard, greenman! Machine looks nice, I like the red painted sides on the backbox. ^^

Welcome greenman.

FIVE WHOLE SECONDS!?!?
What is your secret. LOL

Glad I'm not alone with the three second multiball ^^.

Color DMD....we have a very strong chance of this being colored now. With the release of the LED panel and Circus Voltaire being colored, with enough support and interest, this can happen. I know I'm not the only one that would be willing to get this.
We need more support on the Color DMD threads. Go to the active Color DMD plans for 2016 thread and shout out your desire for Black Rose!
"Come on boy's, let's hit it broadside"

I think Black Roses' dots are very basic (sometimes borderline atrocious if you ask me) and don't hold up to to the standard of any other WMS pinball of that era IMHO.
That being said, I wouldn't even think about forking over the dough for a Color DMD unless they find a way to upgrade the art in some way. Colorizing alone won't do it for me.

If Colordmd were to make this game, How many would buy it?

Only if they enhanced the graphics beyond mere colorization.

Getting ready to put in new pinball pro speakers and pinsound board when they arrive in the next few days. My question is how do you access the speakers in the back box?? Do you take out the screws on the top of the box and below the speakers or no?
Thank you
Jason

That's right Jason. Just undo the screws and grab the panel.
As for replacement speakers, there is less depth compared to your regular WPC game.
I had tried two different sets which didn't fit because of that. Will report back with info regarding the type that finally worked for me.

Not sure what the ultimate back panel mod is, but I wired a 12v led strip to the bottom of the glass plastic. It works pretty good to illuminate the back section. Now I just need to swap the spots on the playfield with something less purple...

Great idea. I am going to add a small yellow strip under the apron. Might as well do the back panel. Why did you go with 12V? I was looking to hook mine up to the GI. Would you recommend otherwise?

Here we go, it's Crunch DSX-62. I also needed to use a 5mm spacer.

BTW, what's a "cliffy" . I see it referred to in a lot of posts.

Short for Cliffy protector. He makes protectors for high wear areas on the playfield.
