Quoted from toyotaboy:you need to mass produce those suckers
I would but it was very time consuming. (And they would be a bitch to mail)
most of the time, i dont care about toper, and to be honest, what it serve for !? nothing...
now, this is simply a beauty ! its a piece of art, not less
bravo !
Awesome topper. I think it would look better without the two figures, but still this is one of the best looking toppers I've seen. Nice job!

Ok that was my LOL for the day.
Quoted from zippydapinhead:micro switches instead of leafs, that kinda thing)
I know they made a service bulletin to do that swap. My BK is an early System 7 with System 6 Power Supply and it has the micro switches in the ball trough up top.
Never heard of an LE though. Wonder what else they had?
The micro switches were the only difference, beside the Limited Edition decal.
Topper is cool. Hope it is mounted to the back box. Would hate to see that fall!

Supposedly there was a metal protector for the often broken upper trough plastic and a couple other minor upgrades, but mostly just a small run (600 units) re-release of a great game. My roms are labeled game #506 instead of #500

Darn. I forgot about that!

This is awesome!
It must've been quite a long process to make it, but if you can give us the short version:
How'd ja do it???

Deciding what to do took longer than doing it. Ordered the sword, flail, and knight figurines off Amazon and Ebay, designed the shield and stand in photoshop. Printed sheild on transparancy stock, sanwiched it between 2 sheets of thin plexi, rattle canned the back plexi white and cut it out. Sheild edge trim is automotive stuff. Base is wood. After that if was just wiring up lights and putting it all together.
Mass producing would not be fun.
At what price would you be willing to make (just) a second one? One benefit would be improving on the design, and keeping the one you like best !
;-p

Would be easier to make and ship in "kit" form. Buy your own weapons and figurines (I provide links I used) I make the base, shield and wiring harness, you assemble.

Sounds like a great plan!
Perhaps, youtube 'how you make it' so others can build one for themselves, (or other toppers) when you move onto another project !

Got my Black Knight up and running, waiting to learn more about how to build this amazing Topper.
