Got the word from Project pinball today machine ships out Monday or Tuesday, so a week at the most I should have it.
Thanks guys, I see it now. Duh anyway I made my own plastic protector for the plastic on the left hand side above the sling by the 2 stand up . Here are the pics, was a 15 minute fix on my ryobi bandsaw. Then I just added washers to the other plastic piece right there to even them out.

It is 1/8" plexiglass I got it off of eBay. Don't remember what it cost. No flamed edges just cut on my Ryobi bandsaw. Took the plastic off itself made a little mini pattern and cut it on the saw.
Quoted from FightNightFZ:Where’d you get this?
It came in the goodie bag. However there was no instructions on how to install it. I screwed it up and had to contact Stern (Chaz) to get a replacement.
Quoted from Mando:Where does it go and do we think it’s needed?
Quoted from tilted81:I don’t understand why it wasn’t there from the factory? Chances of me getting that on bubble free since being riddled w/ divots is about 0% I’d say.
I agree 100%
Quoted from elf70:I don't suppose there are any instructions how to install that properly for those of us who have never applied mylar to a (dimpled) play field?
This time I think I'll have better luck. At least I hope so, I have a plan of attack this time LOL.
Quoted from RockfordReplay:Ordered one after seeing the post. It arrived today and wow, has some size to it. I don't know if I'll launch from the skull-heads or the tail. The handle is lighter than it looks and appears antique-ish (photos without flash look represent the color well). Fun project for the weekend.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Looks awesome mine should be here Friday. BTW great screen name.
Quoted from Wmsfan-GAP:Ok- so how do you remove the mini PF to access the lower PF?[quoted image]
I haven't tried to do it yet. But this was posted a few days ago.
Screenshot_20190603-220253_Chrome (resized).jpgI contacted Chas at Stern about the spring on the shooter rod I purchased. They are sending me a replacement silver spring.
Quoted from monte_:Anybody making custom cards for the game?
Here you go.

Pinsider@Vireland sells them.
Screenshot_20190725-161620_Chrome (resized).jpgJust loaded new code. Thanks to my wife, she just Printed out the instructions and followed them no problems loaded perfect.
Sorry you're having trouble. Like I said we just printed the instructions and followed them worked first time.
Quoted from aeonblack:I successfully updated and I'm on LE. I followed the steps Stern gives:
1 - Download the zip file
2 - Unzip the file, this will create a folder that contains SPK file(s).
3 - Open folder, copy only the file(s) to the root level of a USB stick. Do
not copy the folder.
4 - Power game off
5 - Insert USB stick
6 - Turn on game
7 - After game boots up it will give the option for software update
8 - Volume buttons change options for full or quick update. Enter selects the
option and starts the update.
9 - Once update is completed game will prompt user to power game off and
remove USB stick.
This.^
Quoted from John_I:I got my upper playfield enhancement kit yesterday from Pinball Life and it has the original plastic in it without the additional hole for the new post. Oh well. Email sent to Pinball Life to see what the story is.
Here's a picture of mine. I just drilled a new hole in the old one. I'm just going to keep the new one as a spare, I measured it and it's 7/16 of an inch over and 1/8 of an inch up on that left corner. Drill bit size is 5/32".

Quoted from Jared:BKSOR LE #425 Has landed in Rockwall Texas! Super Proud of Steve and Tim on this one!!! Awesome!!!!! Also thanks to dugfreez for the RAD light rings!!![quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Got the lights also. A must have mod for every Black Knight.! You should have gotten the acrylics.
They change on my LE.
Quoted from monte_:I noticed in the video from post 1216, Tim states they programmed the knight so his eyes change color. Mine is always red when his eyes light up. Does anyone have the eyes changing color?
Quoted from Yesh23:Does anyone have an idea on price of the topper and when new code is going to be released?
Quoted from jetmechinnc:I was debating on getting these. What is your impression? Does it make the game darker or does light shine through at all?? I liked their ones for my former iron man.
Thanks
Maybe a little darker but that doesn't matter to me. The cool thing is the skulls eyes are knocked out so light shines through them, a pretty cool effect. Light shines around the outside also.
My wife emailed Stern today about the topper. Their response was, it goes into production in two weeks so there you go. She got a response right away, probably because it wasn't playfield related LOL.
Quoted from ezatnova:Saw on Cliffy’s page that a BKSOR protector kit is “in development”. Anyone know if any of his shooter lane protectors would fit? I’d like to get the lane protected ASAP. Not as much concerned about the VUKs and whatnot, but the lane gets hammered given the number of multiballs, last chance, etc etc.
Anyway I didn’t see a generic Stern Spike shooter lane protector on his page.
I bought a Cliffy set for my Black Knight months ago they're available. Just contact him.
I only installed the shooter and the protector for the ball drain. The other two are going to be a pain in the ass from what it looks like. One should be easier, you take out the upper Playfield and it's right there, I should have done it when I took my upper Playfield out the first time, the other one by the Knight looks fun. Hopefully someone else that's got them can chimed in and help us out LOL
I had the same problem with the swords on mine. I solved the problem by buying double sided Gorilla tape on Amazon. Just cut it thin and put it on the entire backside the sword, I haven't had a problem since.
I've had my game since May and just recently it's been making a clicking noise that is coming from the catapult area. It only does it when no one is playing and not all the time. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Don
I just ordered my topper from JJ, he told me ETA is 3 to 4 weeks. I hope these work better than the Star Wars topper!!!
The people that hate it are shity players LOL the game is too hard for them.
Quoted from PokerJake:I don't understand the hate towards it.
I ordered my topper at the end of February. Got it mid-april from Game Exchange. If not the best, one of the best Toppers ever produced!
@Loganpinball. That post screw, if you found it by the head then it's probably the one that holds the upper Playfield in on the back left corner. Just look behind the Catapult where the wires are and that's where there should be one of those posts to hold in the upper playfield. That's my best guess. It's hard to line up that hole, so they might have missed the hole during assembly?
^^^^^ the welds on mine did the same. It takes a pounding, so I'm sure they will all fail sooner or later. I've been having problems with the optos on the catapult and noticed the broken welds. I Got the welds fixed, but I'm still having problems with the optos registering a ball when there is no ball. I've cleaned and adjusted them but still the same. I contacted Stern and haven't heard back.
I took mine to a welder, it needs to be TIG welded. Good luck getting any help from Stern now that Chas is gone. The problem with my optos, it's registering balls when there are no balls in the catapult. I've been messing around with mine for months now, adjusting it, cleaning it and nothing seems to work for more than a week and it starts doing it again.
Quoted from ezatnova:I concur on it being amazingly difficult to get help now.
Anyway, double check the tiny black screws holding in your catapult logos. They are very common ones to work loose and fall out. I lock tighted all mine
None of the screws are falling out on mine. I just can't get the optos to work right no matter what I've done to them. The game can just sit there with nobody playing and the coil in the Catapult starts going off by itself. I'm hoping Stern will just send me new optos hahaha.
I just played another game, don't know if it's registering or not but when it goes to reset sometimes it will reset and sometimes it won't. It pops up and acts like it's not catching, is there an adjustment for this?
I'm still trying to figure out this drop Target. They will reset manually every time, but during game play the middle one won't reset about half the time. After looking at it everything looks to be working as it should?
Quoted from TheRudyB:I've got the opposite problem with the single drop target on the left side leading to the VUK on the Premium: it doesn't always drop when hit. Sometimes it takes several solid hits before it will drop; other times it will drop with the lightest brush of a hit.
I've tightened the spring tension (twice) but it does the same thing - it just drops a LOT faster when it does decide to drop now.
Anyone who's experienced the problem have a solution or other suggestions?
Someone suggested I loosen the spring holding that Target. I haven't tried that yet, I was hoping somebody else had other suggestions before I tried anything.
Quoted from koji:I thought there was a guide somewhere by Steve Ritchie that went over the ramp maint?
Key post #579.
Quoted from Killerinstinct47:Hey everyone, I have a pro and the drop targets on the right for the sword power up, some times
Hey everyone, I have a pro and the drop targets on the right for the sword power up, some times fail to reset and will stay down for the remainder of the game. has anyone encountered this issue before? some times it works fine, and others it will try to shoot them back up but fail about 10 times then give up. ive tried looking for videos on this part but could find any. any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!
