Quoted from Pinball-Wiz:Looks like I might be able to get a BKSOR on trade... what's the current going rate for a BKSOR Topper? I saw a couple go over $2K at the beginning of the year but they seem to have dried up even at that.
This is one game that A TOPPER IS A MUST for me. Love the interaction with this one..
Hard to find the topper now, way overpriced if you do.
Quoted from Bagdad:Mine were like this too.. I asked Stern for a replacment (back in the days) because I saw the flail on the demo game at my distro showroom and it was super polished (like pinballs). They sent me a new flail from the factory...Guess what, they were exactly like that (unpolished)....
I was planning to try and polish the new one with buffer and compoud but never got into it. It's still on my to-do list. I'll post picture before-after if that ever work.
one guy on here said they are supposed to be like that. I left it alone & just cleaned them. I’ve seen them on some games like you said all polished up. I don’t know how you take them apart to do that at the moment.
Quoted from Mathazar:I installed that a couple of years ago - Stern distributors were sending them out to BKSoR owners for free. Don't know if they're still doing that.
If you can't get it free from your distributor and don't mind spending $5 plus shipping, looks like PBL still stocks it:

I think my game was already done. I do have the kit from pinball life, so I guess the new plastic has a fifth hole for the new provided black post that in turn creates the bump out on the existing 2-1/2” rubber? I need to take a closer look at mine.
Hello, Does anyone else have a left spinner problem on a Premium or LE with the spinner laying flat? The ball just goes under it & doesn’t score flamethrower. Sometimes it will rotate from vibration & then you can spin it properly with a ball. To me it looks like the arm that holds it is higher on the right side, almost like it’s bent the wrong way. I was going to try to bend the arm down to the right but didn’t want to snap it though it looks pretty stout. I have a couple pics to show how it is laying right now. Any advice to correct this would be great. Maybe it’s the way it was designed or maybe a new bracket? Thanks, John

The bracket can be bent slightly, since it is floating on the right side anyway... I would NOT try to bend the wires from the spinner tho.. those break for sure.
It spins fine manually. I wouldn’t bend wire form, just the bracket but don’t know if that will resolve the issue.
Quoted from koji:Must be catching on something.. the weight of the spinner and the pressure from the switch pushing up, should both work to set the spinner in the correct position.
Yea, something gotta be off, switch & spinner seem fine so I’m gonna investigate it further. Something stupid I’m sure.
Quoted from smoothbore19:Ok so I am trying to install insider on my Premium. I am getting, check node 4 runtime info tech alert. I check nodes and they test good. If I remove the ic reader cable from node i it goes away. Also the machine does not show that ic is hooked up. I have code 1.01 in the machine. I have tried to update to 1.4 but it has failed to load. Help please.
[quoted image]
Wish I could help here, I read that 1.4 has issues so I stayed with 1.01. I’m not good with node or computer stuff but I remember I downloaded my wi-fi to make the IC work. IDK, just a thought. Internet good?
Anyone know if you can turn up flipper power on the right side, sometimes it gets weak as game goes on, lower right only. Coil stops, & switches are clean. I think I have to figure out how to get to feature adjustments. J
Quoted from JakePG:You can turn up the flipper power in the service menu, assuming they already aren't already at max. But if you're playing for a long time, your flippers just might be getting too hot.
I’ll have to see if they are getting hot, what is the remedy if that’s the case.
Quoted from JakePG:nothing other than taking a break, or buying the flipper fans mod
Thank you.
Quoted from SpinnerCM:Thanks, I’ll try that. It’s strange that Marco has the inside bracket in stock but not outside. Unless this breaks more often than is apparent.
Let us know if you find these parts, I’m sure others need them also.
Is this the CN-9 right inside the coindoor?
Quoted from madamyates:I do not seem to have the CN9 DBA connector inside my LE. Any idea why it would be missing? I bought this NIB and all of my other Sterns have it.

BKSOR LE CN-9. I thought they all had them.

That’s strange, maybe Stern messed up obviously, I just used that connection for the flipper cooling fans.
Quoted from johnnyutah:Visited Ground Kontrol in Portland this week (before blizzard completely shut city down), and got a ton of plays on their BKSOR Pre. Played it more than anything they had. If/when I finally snag one for myself, Insider connected Def something I will add. Ground Kontrol has theirs with the kit. Cool addition to the game-
Yes for sure. Put it in the coindoor instead of apron. Looks better & completely functional.

Another cool thing about the BKSOR Pre at Ground Kontrol is that they placed the magna save button next to the right flipper button. That’s seems like a must do mod as well.
That’s cool. Do you have any info on that magna save mod?

Quoted from madamyates:I guess I should have been more clear. I don’t have the CN9 connector cable.
You can make your own connector pretty easily. What is it for?

I have these connectors if you need a few. J

We have the LE, same as the premium. We like it a lot, the wife plays everyday & loves the upper playfield. If you do get one make sure you install the upper playfield plastic fix. As with most Sterns the auto plunger has issues but not bad dealing with that. J
Quoted from Bohm:I'm getting one end of June, what is the upper playfield fix?
Super easy to do. When you shoot the upper loop this plastic helps send it to upper flipper instead of missing it. A lot of games have it already but not from the factory. The plastic is identical but includes an extra hanging post which acts like a slight bump out. Works well. J
IMG_0767 (resized).pngQuoted from Bohm:What are people's opinion on Powerbladez? They look good but are they worth the money, are they hard to install are they thicker or make maintenance harder in any way?
Pingraffix is running a 25% sale so they're $260.00 right now.
I’d go with Black mirror blades from Pinball Life. $100.
Quoted from Bohm:I wasn't aware of the black mirror blades, those look good, I have the blade protectors already.
I have black mirrors on my D/E GNR, look great. These mirrors are from Joey at pinball decals. But it’s the same principle.
IMG_1537 (resized).jpegIMG_1538 (resized).jpegIMG_1539 (resized).jpegQuoted from Kolk1:Woah, I did normal mirrors in Foo Fighters because art work wasn’t out yet. Before then I’ve done art in everything. Those black ones look amazing.
My BKSOR LE came with factory installed blades. I left them alone. They are ok but a little to busy looking.
Quoted from Kolk1:I’ve been trying to find a toy for the back left corner of my Pro. Any help? I see some people used skeleton army guys but I can’t seem to find them. I ordered the Black Knight on the horse for the back right.
