BKAlbum_1070x1070_crop_center (resized).jpgNot the surprise i was hoping for. But Stern always does a promoted lackluster reveal immediately before doing a non promoted real reveal.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:70$ shipping... -_-;
Does each album come with it's own LE sticker?
Quoted from Rum-Z:Does each album come with it's own LE sticker?
Meh...
Honestly I really want one but 70$ for the CHEAPEST (up to 115$) shipping method? :-/
Quoted from John1210:Have to respectfully disagree here:
Objectively the Upper pf is where all the points are gained from a variety of shots/setups:
- loop goes up in points each loop so building them up allows for quite lucrative loop shots as you progress through the game.
- also upper loop shots are big points in retro mode... also lucrative... and fun.
- target and loop in monster mode brings massive points... so building up the value with loops then hitting the target for a monster hit.
-lock shot is big points in catapult multiball when you nail 3x and 4x supers.
- also lock shot for super skillshot can be lucrative after a few successes.
There's plenty to do up there for a mini playfield imo.
One trick pony as in that’s all your shoot for. No reason to really do much on the Lower playfield
Quoted from Mathazar:It's going to be a long 9 days....I just joined the club and purchased a NIB BKSOR Premium (with shaker motor). Delivery is Friday, November 29!! Obligatory unboxing photos to be posted shortly after arrival!
The wait is over....BKSOR is in the house as of this morning. Parked him right next to his grandfather.
IMG_7378 (resized).jpgWhen updating the code (to v1.00) on my new BKSOR Premium, I ran into the situation that many others on this thread ran into a few months ago whereby BK would see the file on the USB key but when attempting to load, would error out with "invalid file". Through a little trial and error, I discovered that the .spk file must be the ONLY file on the USB key. I had the .spk file and the readme file in the root of the FAT32 USB key and I hit the "invalid file" issue. After I removed the readme file from the key, the update was successful.
IMG_7376 (resized).jpgReally hoping we'll see new code today, but the only thing I'm seeing is this got put up today:
https://shop.sternpinball.com/collections/collectibles/products/black-knight-lp
And according to facebook they gave away a signed pf to a stern insider.

Yeah I'd love to buy one too. The cheapest shipping to Australia is also $70US, which is crazy.
Quoted from newpinbin:Where is the new code????????????????
Stern does not release code updates on Friday. Has been said in the past. In case something blows up someone has to deal with it.

How about Saturday?
Quoted from RebelGuitars:Stern never mentioned new code was coming today.
What was today going to be? Just the topper?
Quoted from Eskaybee:$70 CD album. [...]
What the hell is going on here...? Oh wait, it’s pinball; carry on, nothing to see here...
It's a Vinyl Record and it's 26$.
What the hell is going on here...? Oh wait, it’s pinside; carry on, nothing to see here...
Quoted from javagrind888:Bah, how is this Black Knight Friday? Disappointing
Yeah, how is releasing a vinyl record already available on eBay anything worth shouting about???Really expected new code and the topper yesterday otherwise don’t say anything.
Wasn’t pissed off before but now I’m annoyed! But, I’ve still got an awesome bk premium to play!

Same here. The code was to be released yesterday but it never happened.

Stern got a lot of shit for making the record exclusive to a convention and people reselling that thing near 300$ on eBay. So there's obviously people waiting for this. Me included.

That’s nothing to shout about though. It just extra merch so what. The code update is what everyone here with games wanted and expected especially when you start calling it ‘Black Knight Friday’ No brainer and I’m pissed off now they said anything
I bought the album. Less than $10 to ship to Florida. Glad I didn't buy one of those off of eBay for $100+ a few months back.
Quoted from newtoit:Stern goes out of their way to piss off their fans.
Also realize that there is a grand total of just 23 minutes of music on the album. *Not* 23 minutes per side - 23 minutes of music altogether.
Don’t get me wrong - I’m glad I have it. But if you were/are expecting a more traditional/full length album, you’ll be disappointed.

Ok, now I'm glad I didn't pay 70$ shipping or I'd bite my a*** off. o.O;
Quoted from newpinbin:Same here. The code was to be released yesterday but it never happened.
Where did Stern ever mention code or the topper? They didn’t, we were all just hoping that’s what it would be.
BTW, the vinyl released yesterday is different from the SDCC version.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:BTW, the vinyl released yesterday is different from the SDCC version.
Do you have a track list and/or play times? Other than being orange instead of baby blue, I haven’t heard that there’s anything different between the two editions.

The vinyl color and the number produced is the difference.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:The vinyl color and the number produced is the difference.
Cost of attending Comic-Con and subsequent eBay prices notwithstanding, price is another difference: the orange one costs $5.99 more than the original blue one did.
But speaking for myself since I’m only interested in the music, none of those makes a difference to me.

I don't even have a turn table. Doubt I will ever open it. I will display it on the wall in my game room and pass it along with the machine in a couple of years when I sell it. To me this should have come with the LEs in the first place...

I understand, but to vinyl collectors it’s a big difference. The Baby Blue vinyl was limited to only 100 copies and the Orange is limited to 200.

Us who actually listen to them want standard black.

You really ought to open it - it comes with a code for a digital download of the music inside.

And it is the BLACK Knight, after all - not the Cyan Knight or the Pumpkin Knight.

The point is when a post goes up hyping something with the phrase ‘black knight Friday’ And a cool promo assembly vid you expect something bigger than a vinyl album already released and already available on eBay ... Jeez, it’s not that difficult to think the long awaited code update and topper will be released. They shouldn’t have bothered if that wasn’t the case... Frikin piss take

So they shouldn’t advertise a product they’re selling that’s not been released to the mass public?
Quoted from boogies:Bug report:
I set my LED Insert brightness to 85% and max = 210.
Standard adjustments 72 & 73.
My flame panel stopped working. I believe it is non-dimmable LEDs.
After reverting back to 100% and 255, it started working again
Has anyone else had this problem / can someone else confirm? If it's not just me, maybe it could be added to next software update.
Quoted from DrJoe:Yes, I found this a month or so ago and reported it on here somewhere. Hopefully it can be fixed with software.
Yep. I thought my fire LED had crapped out but it was the dimming setting. I never would have thought of it had I not seen DrJoe 's post about it.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:So they shouldn’t advertise a product they’re selling that’s not been released to the mass public?
It's not about advertising a product they’re selling that’s not been released to the mass public - it's about them setting expectations in the minds of their customers. Whether they realize they are/were doing it or not, something touted as a "Black Knight Friday" announcement/sale for the traditional Black Friday elevates expectations in their customers - particularly when those customers have been waiting for announcements of enhancements and additional products to go with what they have already purchased.
Exercise: Imagine if you've been waiting until the holidays to buy a new TV at WalMart. Then when you get to the store/website on Black Friday, you discover that instead of insanely good doorbuster prices on TVs, they opt to sell their TVs at the regular price, but throw in an exclusive limited edition R2D2 or Darth Vader (your choice!)-themed universal remote with every TV sold for free. How would you feel? But point taken: Star Wars collectors might very well buy two TVs from WalMart that day just to ensure they get one of each of the limited edition remotes.

Exactly!!! The new code should have been out yesterday!!!!!
Quoted from TheRudyB:You really ought to open it - it comes with a code for a digital download of the music inside.
Cool! Thanks, I will certainly download the digital copy.
Quoted from John_I:Cool! Thanks, I will certainly download the digital copy.
And post it on youtube.
Quoted from newpinbin:What am I to do with a record??? Put the thing on a CD or Youtube.
An approprtiate comment... but not in a forum about pinball.
Hey, buy one, open it, keep the download code and send me over the record (for $$$ of course), win win!
Anyone know the rubber ring sizes on this game? Looking especially at the rings around the 'kill my shot drain posts' around the knight, shield, and other posts in that area. TIA!
