Starting into my BK restoration...have on hand CPR PF, Plastic sets and a new Mayfair BG...Two sets of boards and everything disassembled and in boxes. Cabinet Stripped, but needs some repairs. Just gutted head and cleaning the stainless backer plate.

Does anyone have any good scans or reproductions of the various warning labels inside the backbox and cabinet? Labels like the fuse list, the power supply warning, etc?

Would be greatly appreciated. This will be a loonnng process as I'm fitting the work in between all my travel for work, so while I'll try to post some pics along the way, it's going to be slow going.

    TIA

Question....Was the speaker grill guard stock or something somebody added? It's ugly and thinking of not putting it back on the new bottom

Another question....What are the two holes for in the back of the floor of the cabinet...Drainage? They seem perfectly cut to not be factory.

I have a cover over the speaker on mine, but not the one pictured (round holes). I also have the holes in the back of the cabinet. Nothing coming thru them though.

The holes in the back should have screens and they are there to draw in cool air as the heat rises out of the BB.

The speaker hole should be round and that is the wrong grill, it should have round holes in it.

Ah....makes sense on the rear holes. Yeah, I know the speaker hole should be round...some enterprising thief in the past cut around the grill to gain access to the coin box.

Definitely not going back with the diagonal lattice. Wonder if the original grill can be sourced anywhere?

Can someone verify the size/ohm speaker for BK?

The speaker I yanked out the cone is cracked and split. The writing on the back I can make out is an EAS-16P24EZG but googling doesn't bring up anything and I don't even know if that's the stock speaker.

So, 4 ohm or 8 ohm and what size?

EDIT: Plot thickens...Attached is a picture of the HUO BK that was posted on Pinside. It has the same speaker as mine and it is 4 ohm 6.5". However, many threads on RGP indicating that BK owners had original 8 ohm speakers. My BK is early run with the transformer in the head. Did the sound board change during run? I have boards from both early and late at my disposal. Did the amp change or was it always capable of driving either 4 or 8 ohm and WMS used whatever they had?

    Thanks! BK_30.jpgBK_30.jpg

I have the 4 ohm 6.5 inch speaker in mine if any help. Keep us updated with progress will be worth the work when done.
