Need a little guidance here.

Nice thing here is I have two Black knights that I'm working on but I found that the relays for the magnet are different. In the first picture I can not find a relay like this one, part number brings up relay coil. I'd like the whole relay. Any help is much appreciated.

To make sure let me explain why I believe its the relay. When I drop the targets to light megna save, the magnet comes on and locks on. I checked both transistors on the driver and they measure correct.

Also, where can I buy another magnet..... I had to rob one from my other black knight.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Locked on magnet is usually the driver transistor is blown. maybe due to a shorted magnet?
Maybe something else?
Test the magnet with an ohmmeter. They do go bad but not that often, unless over fused.

The relay is similar to a standard 5 lug automotive relay.

Your second pic is like every black Knight I've ever seen... It's basically a Williams em relay with a diode added to the coil.
Since it doesn't lock on until you've earned it sounds like the buttons next to the flippers might be seen as closed by the machine.

Both those relays are fine. The open one on the second picture with the visible contacts is what was originally used, the other one is what williams used on subsequent games with magna save.

The magnet activating only when you complete a bank suggests that your boards, transistors, etc are all fine, and that something is just triggering the magna save as slochar suggests

Magnets are available at most parts sites (Marco, Pinball Life, etc).

Thanks everyone that responded. Replaced with standard automotive relay. Something I should have checked was the diode on the relay. When I desoldered it, the diode itself snapped in the middle with ease. Put on new relay with new diode and magna save works perfect!

Thanks again everyone!
