Remove J13 from the driver board. This is the special switch input connector.
If the coil no longer locks on, you have a problem with the switch wiring. I would suspect the switch stack is mis-adjusted or the electrolytic cap on the switch has failed shorted. Could also be a shorted wire between the switch and the board (less likely).
If the coil still locks on, you have either a short in the wiring from the driver board to the coil (less likely) or a failed transistor on the driver board. If the driver board transistor is bad, also replace the diode on the coil.
