Another BK questions...Game has no sound. When a game starts, the speech works fine, but there is no sounds after that. If a switch is made or ball drains, it's complete silence.
If I test the test switch on the sound board, all sounds and speech are present. I imagine this is a setting somewhere, but just not seeing it. Adjustment 39 is set to 1, and have messed with both dip switches. Is there something else that can control the sound?
There is a little 2 bank of dip switches just to the right of the diagnostics switch. Top switch (#2) should be on and bottom switch (#1) should be off.
If you haven't already, remove the sound board and reflow the solder to all the header pins. Same on the driver board. This era board is prone to developing cold solder joints on these header pins which can break the connection between the driver board and sound board preventing correct or sounds at all from playing.
