Today, i traded an arcade (dk) for another arcade (robotron) and the guy has a black night pin in great condition except back glass has some major flaking. I did what i could with my limited pin knowledge to get the pin working.

There was no lable showing the fuse amp/volt/slo or fast so we did not know if he had the proper fuses in the back box, transformer block or display.

Also, not aware if all the roms were present or even correct.

The boards will require some work regardless.

So my questions are:

1- Can someone please tell me the fuse specs
2- Based on the pics, are all roms present? There are two empty spots...the only ones labled are IC17 and IC20
3- i am looking to get the boards fixed...who here is into board repair? And do u also repair arcades because I have two donkey kong boards needing fixing too.

Please feel free to hit me up in pm if u are interested in some board repair biz.

Thanks for your time to read my post.

The first thing you need to do is get the old battery holder off, and clean up any traces of corrosion. It is very close to ruining your CPU!

Go to IPDB.Org and download the schematics and manual - that's where you will find the fuse values. You may not be missing any of the ROMs - it depends on what's on board the MPU.

There's obviously been a problem with the battery holder - why else would a zip tie be holding a battery in place?

There are several folks here who repair boards - I have my favorites, but you will need to do a search on the website to find your own favorite. Have them install NVRam while they have it - you can get rid of the batteries that way.
