Anyone have any suggestions on what things to check when drop targets won't drop when hit? I put new decals on them all, so they have been apart, cleaned and I know they are properly reassembled. The 2 lower banks work fine, as does the upper left. The upper right bank is problematic. The left target works fine. The center and right targets do not fall when hit hard, but will fall on light touches or grazes. All fall normally when hit by a finger. Scoring and reset works perfectly. The copper springs on the back are pretty lightweight, so I don't believe the ball is having any trouble overpowering it and they do all reset fine.

I can only think of two things here - the new rubbers are too springy and are bouncing the farget back onto the perch before it can drop, or the target is flexing too much. They seem plenty stiff though, and all the other ones work great so that seems unlikely although that right bank is the closest to a flipper and takes more and harder hits than most of the others.

I thought about maybe trying to find a heavier pull-down spring but then I get concerned about screwing up the reset.

Any advice on dealing with this will be helpful as it really makes the game a lot more difficult when you can't score three knockdowns on that one bank.

Turned out to be fatigued springs on the targets. I tested by shortening the two offenders by a few coils and they started working fine. I've ordered a batch of new springs for them, figuring these must be a bit tired by now.
