There's things that must be done to early Williams solid state pins before they will ever run reliably.

Thanks Lee! I'll replace them and go from there. ~Spooky

While you're at it, may as well do the switches in the trough under the apron as these will drive you nuts also. Almost all of these leaf switches were assembled wrong with one blade upside down. You can disassemble them and flip the blade, but by now the other contact has been beat by the rough backside of that flipped blade and the gold plating is ruined.

Can anyone check the rubber route and size just to the right of the upper left flipper? The ring guide says this should 2", but that is too big, even If I loop the third post in.

My BK resembles this diagram.

I must have been too tired last night, was looking at the wrong flipper! Mine looks like the ones in the photos also. That diagram is wrong.

Example from BK manual:
Shorted diodes (or an incorrectly wired switch) can cause "rectangle" switch matrix problems as follows: The lower left 3-bank upper target is down (switch 27), and lower right 3-bank center target is down (switch 30). A ball enters the lockup trough making switch 43, a shorted diode at switch 27 would cause switch 46 Playfield Tilt to be (incorrectly) indicated. Note that the "rectangle" is always completed with an incorrect switch diagonally opposite from the switch with the shorted diode.

Correct. That center coin switch is a good example of a correctly wired switch. You need to check all the other switches for something that does not look right. Also, take all balls out, all drop targets up and go into switch test and see if any show as closed. Then test each switch one at a time and make sure the proper switch number is reported.

I´d like to know, how can I set that fuction? Thanks.

Yep. Hooking up a coil (diode) backwards will take out the driver transistor. Replace the driver, pre-driver & diode. Been there, done that.

You will also want to check connector 2J12 (second one down on left of driver board) bottom 2 pins for overheating. I had to replace the header pins & rebuild the connector plug on mine.

Stumbled upon this today at Dollar Tree. Get your BK toppers before they're gone! The shields are available in silver or gold. They also had other Black Knight items in the Halloween section. Mines on temporarily with an L bracket and some Velcro.

I also grabbed a sword.

Quoted from zacaj:

Seems like it would be weird having a knocker go off every time you complete some drops with max bonus.

The code would have to be modified. Installing a knocker in place of the bell would not work. The code would hold the coil on too long and burn it up, especially at extra ball reward.

Quoted from sethbenjamin:

Initially I had *no power at all* to the RH flippers. Was puzzled by this, then, magically, they started working again. I've checked all solder points and they're good, nothing loose. They have continued to work, but they are clearly not getting full power.

Check connector 2J12 1 & 2 for overheating & pins 1 & 2 on driver board. Flipper current passes through here. My BK had problems here.
