Operator adjustable for extra ball or replay on lower playfield(I think)
Extra Ball is lit by completing all four drop target banks (upper and lower playfields) three times each. This lights the Extra Ball in the turn-around on the lower playfield.
Ball wobble at the magnet can be considered normal.
Make sure your ground wire(Wht/Red) from the playfield the the ground strap attachment point in the back box is present and tight.
I had Super bands on some of my BKs. Standard flipper mechs that had the return spring modded to the linear pull type. Could make the long left ramp no problem with a fairly steep pf angle.
Quoted from Chosen_S:There's only one worn place where the manga save is. So I'm considering giving it a clear coat. Does anyone have any suggestions, or tips?
If you are OK at touch ups and clear coating, then I say go for it. I'm on my third BK right now;
Quoted from RDM:Cool, so is it safe to assume that the white/red stripe is the one that supplies ground to the backbox?
The Wht w/ Red wire is for the playfield ground. It is there to help with the magna save magnets. I have only heard of problems with magna save not working properly when it is missing, not phantom scoring.
Quoted from NightFlight73:I have one that when hit hard - won't drop but does with brushed.
This usually has less to do with spring tension than with the drop hitting off of either the rubber or the playfield behind it and bouncing back to the resting position before it can drop.
One size down on the rubber or loosening and trying to re-align the drop target assembly will probably solve this better than trying to increase the spring tension.
One or more of the ball lock trough switches needs attention. Common problem. Williams even made an upgrade for the ball lock switches to have them be micro-switches instead of blade contacts.
Quoted from SpOoKyRiDeS:I'm in the club, always played and love the Knight, back when he first came out. Loads of work to do, but one big issue I'm having, once I lock ball number three, they don't eject for multiball. Sounds like the game is searching for a ball. Any ideas? Thanks, and can't wait to rip into this!~Spooky
Quoted from SpOoKyRiDeS:Thanks Lee! I'll replace them and go from there. ~Spooky
I put these in my lock trough and my ball trough;
Quoted from Boise_D:Which LEDs do you recommend?
Like Toyguy, I used Cointakers in my BK's. Color matched Premiums in the inserts. Frosted in the GI, except I kept regular bulbs under the slings and inlanes to combat the strobe effect.
Did a little more color matching in the backglass. Blues, yellow, oranges, reds.
Glad to hear that you fixed you diode issue.
Don't know which LED's are in the CT kit, but I prefer the frosted ones as they tend to disperse better.
The Ablaze LED's seem to be less bright too.
Quoted from swampfire:My BK now requires the player to hit the turnaround to qualify the lock. I love it! Makes Multiball much harder to get.
I like playing it that way for competitive play.
Novice players have more fun factory.
