I have a 1980 Black Knight that has always gone through batteries extremely fast. A good set of AA’s last about two weeks. I just recently changed the 5101 thinking the memory chip itself was doing it and no luck. The new (well replacement, I stole it from a spare Firepower board) chip didn’t solve the problem. Any ideas? I almost bought the battery replacement chip but thought that might not work until I resolve what’s doing this.
