My Black Knight 2000 machine plays well except for two annoying issues.

1. When I get "the kings ransom", the machine immediately feeds two balls to the plunger lane. The behaviour should be that it feeds ONE ball, and let the player plunge that ball. When the ball is plunged, it should feed the third ball. The problem now is that I get two balls in the lane which makes it very difficult to plunge the balls to the upper PF. It usually ends with having to remove the glass and take the balls out manually...

I've done the switch edges test. The outhole switch, 3 ball-through switches and the plunger lane switch all works ok.

2. I can only do lane change to the right. The switch edge test shows no switch issues. When I press left and right flipper button during switch edge test the display shows "lane change left" and "lane change right"...

Any Ideas? The fact that in both cases the switch edge test shows no issues makes me wonder if the problems are caused by the same thing.

To clarify issue number 2: What I mean is that no matter if I press left or right, the lane always shifts right.

Yes, that's correct it's the way the software is designed, both the lane change switches have a subroutine that goes to the same move letters routine.

Okay so that is how it is supposed to be Thanks for letting me know, never played on another BK2K than my own.

But the ransom problem is a real one I think. I clearly remember that it only ejected one ball at a time when I got the machine 2 years ago.

I fixed the ransom issue by adjusting the plunger lane switch. Seems like it was not sensitive enough. I bent the wire a little so that it senses the ball slightly further up the lane.
