Hi. The credit / ball display in my Black Hole doesn’t seem to want to stay on. I thought it might be the grounding issue, but I’ve done the fixes and it still goes out. If I push the display up from underneath, it will come back on for a while and then dim out after a few games. I’ve tried pulling the connector off and reseating it with no luck. When the display is on, it looks bright and correct. But only lasts a game or two.

Any ideas? Is it time to buy a new display?

Thanks!

My credit/ball display does the same thing. It turns out it has one of the leads into the glass display is broken, and only works when pushed in. When it works it’s way loose, I can tell because the display starts to dim. There is no real permanent fix for this other than replacing the display glass.

That’s interesting. Are you able to see the broken lead? I might need to pull mine out and look at it more closely. A new one is $75, but I’d rather fix the original one.
