Have you tried Mayfair amusement? I know they have early Gottlieb as I got A NOS BG for my star race from them. Better to just contact them by email and order.

Looks like that spring is on upside down. I don't have a BH to check against but seems to me that little wire sticking out is to catch something that causes it to flex and spring back.
