Quoted from frenchmarky:

If the wireform gate were only about 1/4" longer, the ball could still push it open but it wouldn't be able to slip between it and the tube exit gate.

Clever!

Quoted from futurepinhead:

I think it might have been replaced with an incorrect part at some point.

The ECG219 transistor looks like a suitable equivalent to the 2N5879 spec'd on the schematics. Functionally it's ok to use. You'll have to check if it's blown/shorted.

Quoted from pinopinballmods:

Does anyone know the value of the resistor (White circle on the photo) ?

It looks like the typical 4.7k ohms pull-up resistor upgrade for Gottlieb games with remote driver power transistors.

See the second picture here:

Quoted from Matthew2015:

can someone confirm if the red dot on the top this capacitor is the positive?

Yes, the red dot on the capacitor lug indicates it's the positive lug.
BTW you want to remove that coil spring washer away from the smaller blue capacitor lugs before it shorts it.

Quoted from Matthew2015:

See this threads image gallery - do these pics help?

Quoted from Matthew2015:

what's this coil function that comes right the tube kicker? and do i have it set up right?

It makes sure there's only one ball at the tube up kicker at any time. You're currently missing the wire that stalls any drained second ball.

Quoted from Matthew2015:

is the ball supposed to be stopped by the coil mech thing here when it passes under the wire?

Take off the apron on the upper playfield. It has exactly the same trough mechanism - you can see there how it works for reference.
