Quoted from Clintonian:

Hey guys just checking to see if anyone has had this issue before. When the ball goes to the lower Playfield the flippers are dead, lights are out, there’s a strange persistent sound, and the relay under the lower Playfield clicks like 3 or 4 times. The ball gets sent back up to the top Playfield and all is well again.

Which flippers are dead - the top or bottom ones ?
And is it the bottom lights or top lights that are out ?

Look who's back after a year on vacation ... Mirco playfields, GottFA80 MPU, Gosof soundcard with US sounds.
I'm thinking about converting the backbox to the US version with spinning disc.
Does anyone have any experience doing this ?

Does the front glass for the US version of Black hole have some sort of mask or print on it ?
It looks that way in these Ebay pictures : ebay.com link: itm
I don't mean the mirrored backglass, but the one in front of it.

Quoted from frenchmarky:

It has grey transparent shading screened on it that accentuates the artwork on the main backglass.

Thanks ! So I would have to get both backglasses if I were to make a US version out of an export version ... guess this project is a bit more extensive than I first imagined.

Quoted from Leveeger:

Could you give us the US back box dimensions?
I also get a MGOW backbox at hand to perform the conversion, so if you wanna share the info I will be grateful...

The US backbox seems to have a black frame built in front of the blue backbox.
This black frame contains the 2 backglasses and the lamps surrounding the frame.
It is hinged to the blue backbox as shown in the picture here.

Is it certain that the blue backbox on the US version is deeper than the blue backbox on the export version ?
Or is the black frame just built "on top" of the (identical between versions) blue backbox ?

Quoted from gdonovan:

I have mine open if you need measurements.

Yes, please, that would be awesome !
Can you measure depth/width/height (inner) of the blue backbox and the black frame ?
And also the thickness of the walls ?

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you, I really appreciate it !

Quoted from Matthew2015:

there looks to be what was a fuse holder housing that broke off at some point that held this fuse holder . i can't find a replacement for the original holder housing. is there a better modern replacement for the fuse holder ? would a surface mount fuse holder work?
[quoted image]

Perhaps something like this will do ? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001144562333.html

Quoted from Matthew2015:

that would work but i would still need something to mount it in or to something like the original fuse holder housing.
maybe this would work? i don't see why it would not work and i could mount it with the other fuses .

Yes, you could - but then you would have uncovered line voltage with no fuse in your machine.
The wire going "into" the fuse will always have 115/220 volt in (depending on your country).
I would deem this extremely unsafe - I always add a cover over such voltage points in old machines where they are exposed, i.e. power switches etc.

If you mount it near the other fuses you run the risk of sending 115/220 volt straight into your circuit boards as well.

So technically, yes, you could - but from a safety viewpoint I would not do it.
