After at least 5 years of my Black Hole not working I finally got off my lazy ass and repinned the connectors in the back box and she lives once more! I bought 200 pins from GPE and after I was done I had 59 left. Felt super good. I'm finally getting around to not hating repinning connectors. I don't necessarily love doing it, but I don't hate it as much as I used to.

I don't have schematic for my Black Hole and I wondering if I could get a little information about which chip the Display Decoder IC is ( Position on the board/chip number/trusted replacement chips etc...)

After replacing both IC on two display boards themselves, they still have missing segements/act funny. When I plugged them into my Mars I found out that they are fine and all segments are working on them.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It's the Lower Playfield display and the credit display. I tried the lower playfeild display in every spot on my MGOW, figuring if the issue followed it was the chips, but it works perfectly fine. So did the credit display when hooked up to MGOW.

The displays in players 1-4 on my BH work perfectly fine. No locked on digits or missing segments.

Edit: Just reread your post, I haven't tried any other displays in those two places yet, will try when I get home from work.

I think I have one, let me check when I get home!
