Working doors solve a lot of problems, generally.

Are the connectors for the coin door plugged in?

What's the story on this game? Is it a new acquisition, did it suddenly stop working, or something else?

I would guess that it doesn't have a free play jumper or ROM installed.

Instead, you may have to press the red microswitch that's hanging loose on the door to add credits. If credits are added to the credit display, then then you might be able to start a game using the start button on the front side of the coin door.

Keep in mind--if this game has not been serviced recently, the balls are probably rusty. Do *not* play the game with rusty balls or they will act like sandpaper on the playfield and wear down the artwork very quickly.

I'm guessing the game boots up and goes to attract mode. Do you have a manual? The slam switch needs to be close, so a white and purple/black/black wire needs to be connected. Can't make out the colors for sure on your switch, but they don't look right to me. What are the colors?

So no displays? Black Hole manual does not have a Blue Green Green wire in the front door. You need to get a manual and start tracing wires.

If the displays aren't coming on, you might have a problem on the MPU. Have you checked to make sure the battery hasn't leaked all over the board?

the mpu was all checked and ok by a tester would the toggle settings make any difference

Have you verified with a multimeter that you have no blown fuses?
