The ultimate TZ collectors edition .
You're all asking a bit much of GAP. He's posted something for sale. That's enough.
How dare you request pictures of what he's selling!

Just letting you know now you won't be receiving an answer.
Hey Mike, did you ever finish this project? This is one of my favorite restoration (for lack of a better word) threads. It's refreshing to see something different instead of the same old cookie cutter projects. Big props for thinking outside of the box. Oh, and nice work
I got side tracked on this project but getting it going again. I lost contact with the guy who is going to paint the playfield and we just reconnected. Prepping the playfield as we speak and hopes to have it in the artists hands by next week. Then its getting the plastics scanned and made.. I hope to have it at this years Expo!
When I first seen the translite I didn't like it but when I seen the whole cab I was like WOW. It really looks amazing. I can't wait to see the completed machine. Kudos

Any news????
It's too bad there isn't an available easier way to do this. A quick trip into Photoshop or Illustrator could convert the art to grayscale in a few clicks. If only that could be done and the playfields produced.
Alas. Not it's not to be.
We live in a world where fan remastered soundtracks are threatened with legal action.
I know that if I could have officially produced B&W playfields and cabinet artwork, I would sign up.
Mike - keep up the work on this. You'll likely have the nicest TZ in the world when it's done.

You can legally make art from the original assets. You just can't sell it.
Quoted from jellikit:Mike, two years to clean the boards and wiring harness? And you still didn't get it right, this is what you should have come back with...

The solder mask on those may need a good refresh.
Quoted from GAP:Playfield should be done in 3 weeks
I was wondering.... How're you gonna handle with the plastics and other stuff like the gumball or the clock?
Plastics are being scanned in and will be printed in black and white and laser cut. I have a Black and white decal for the clock face, gumball machine will be spray painted grey

Very nice.... see, I wish I've seen this thread a year and a half ago when I was starting to restore my TZ.... I really think I would follow your idea..... anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your project... all I can say is that my will to, one day do the same with my machine, is growing stronger!
Quoted from GAP:Getting ever so closer.

Nice scans!
Well-executed idea that is true to the original content. Kudos. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Even though it's obvious, it just never occurred to me that this works so well because the show is B&W. Now if someone ever gets around to doing a Munsters pin, I hope they go the same route.
Quoted from bangerjay:A good looking machine, from a good looking man
For anyone that doesn't know, Mike is the good-looking one on the right.
Brad
I can donate a black and white swirled custom painted shooter for you. It would look fantastic on that machine. Let me know, I would be glad to help. The ModFather
