Spiral ramp I bought 5 yesrs ago. They are out there. But hard to find
Quoted from GAP:Spiral ramp I bought 5 yesrs ago. They are out there. But hard to find
Yeah those are cool, I’d be interested in one if someone was still selling them but of course they’re not out there anymore.
Quoted from Neal_W:The spiral ramp looks good in TZ, but owners have reported that is slows down gameplay.
Yeah - the game is already somewhat slow in shot-to-shot gameplay, and I had this one in mine back when they were first made - couldn't stand it. IMHO, slowed it down a lot more. And I have my game sloped steeply.
To each his own, though - I can see how some people like it.
Quoted from Doctor6:Third the spiral ramp. Looks awesome.
Man, this machine is beautiful. In theory it sorta sounds like a dumb thing to do, but the final product is super amazing.
Sometimes dumb can be genius sometimes just dumb. Props to Mike and #GAP for raising the bar on a truly custom effort. Powder-coating a machine is 101 simple, this effort is monumental when you look at the scope of everything he had to reproduce to TZ quality. Aside from a few individuals that stalled this project for so long I'm impressed at how fast he pulled this project to final perfection product. Very impressive even for Mike.....lol
Gee Mike and here all along I thought that all you were was just a pretty face.
Super-sweet project and a big atta-boy for not abandoning it for the aggravation it caused. I'm looking forward to seeing this - and you - in person, at Expo.
Too funny I suspected that was the special guest. lol No question the coolest toy I have ever seen. Definitely don't see that every day. Only at #GAP. lol

Time to compare now if GAP were to dress like Dr Smith and have a pic taken with Robot ? ? ?

I would be over to his shop in 5 minutes to take that photo! lol

and blocks some real estate, interesting looking but no game value to it.
Quoted from GAP:Added a few black and white mods today. Not going to go oveboard. Maybe the camera and last the piano
Tina has never looked scarier. Looks like you covered every detail while keeping it classy. I so want one!
So here is the video of the Black and White Twilight Zone game play. We had one switch we had to adjust in the middle of the game, but that has now been taken care of. Game is 99% complete, just need to add mirror blades and light the gumball machine and this project is complete. We will have a better video for you in the coming week. So here she is, Enjoy.

MMmmmm. Thats like 60's porn! Great work Mike, an amazing accomplishment no question.
PS. You do need to learn to turn your phone sideways when filming though...lol
Quoted from Zitt:Have you considered changing the ?ColorDMD? color scheme to a more of a warm-white instead of the cool-white?
Given the GI and inserts; I think a warmwhite lcd would look better.
Is there any easy way to do this now? I know Randy added some additional colors to the Sigma firmware, but when I had mine on B&W, I had to use a RGB controller into the ColorDMD to get a warm white color out of it.

All the little people Thank You for shooting the video. We may never see the the game in person but can and will still enjoy it.
That TZ is really special and the spiral ramp fits theme great. I'd suggest using black pearl balls again, as they would show up better than steel balls, which tend to blend in rather than contrast with the playfield, and match the color scheme better.
Zitt, i might have to get Color Dmd's new lcd where I can use the rgb remote to change it. I tried doing it manually and was able to tone it down just a little. This lcd displsy is the older version.
I do have black balls and on the next video, I will put thrm in the game.

IDK. My assumption is that ColorDMD allows you to set RGB colors specifically. Dmod could answer specifically.
To get a warmer white; I'd assume added more red and green while reducing blue would be warmer.
IE instead of RGB = 255,255,255 make it 255, 255, 200 or something like that.

At least when I did it, there were a limited number of colors, something like 0x60. It did have a header where you could input a PWM signal to get more options, and that's what I used.

The RGB remote works on the older display too. You just need to make a small adapter that can plug onto the LAMP INPUT.

Nice! Whiting out the shooter this time?
Quoted from Theo_Ioannis:What a waste of a good playfield
Not sure I agree.
You have no idea what the state of the PF was/or is... For all we know it could be a Mirco reject.
GAP hopefully you'll consider some transparent Pop Bodies this time - along with the Transparent Skirts which I just made available.

Did you sell the first one?
We tried to save the playfield. We bought it from a pinsider. It had a chemical applied to playfield which distorted the clear. We tried to save it. Sanded it and cleared it 5 times. Didn't work. At this time only use for playfield is to repurpose
Quoted from Rascal_H:Nice! Whiting out the shooter this time?
Yes we will put white in all the natural wood areas and shooter lane.
Still have another layer to sand
